I was playing around with the Internet Archive (http://www.archive.org/index.php) (the "Wayback" machine) and decided to look up ninjaturtles.com. I found the results amusing. My favorite is the early 1998 version where it advertises The Next Mutation.

Another interesting point is that the Turtle Letters link works -- which means you can read Venus' letters if you really want to.

Depending on how accurate that date is, I was a freshman in college. Yes, I'm that bad and that is reallyreally why you don't see art from me. I only drew that to get another t-shirt and to rib a friend at the same time. Hey, both objectives worked!!

i remember visiting the site before, though i don't remember the layout back then. although it wasn't too far back, probably in 2k3.

God, I remember that 1997 layout with the Next Mutation banners.

Its hard to imagine that was 10 years ago...I was only 11 back then.

Its nice to see the site has come a long way. It used to not have much on it but Dan has constantly improved it every year and now its a great archive of TMNT information.

Dude if you click on the movies link to the 97 version it say that the next movie has been pushed from 97 to 98. Off by about a decade.

The movie company has decided to redo the script and focus on the new Turtle characters, including Venus de Milo...
I don't know much about her, but maybe it was a good thing it was delayed.

I like the old April profile, too. :-) She's been training with a katana for at least 9 years, makes the new movie make more sense to me.

actuly there was a movie planned playmates went as far as to start promoting it but it never went anywhere.

ahahha so awsome! I love reading the letters from 1998's next mutation tmnt the things they write are waaayy better than what the show was.
EDIT: ok seriously it is better I'm reading these next mutation storys and they've got freakin Triceratons, Mondo Gecko,
Ray Fillet, April, Casey, Utroms, Savanti Romero, & Renet! in it ugh! If only the show was this good seriously Next mutation would have been so much better as a cartoon.
I wonder who wrote this stuff it's really good.
EDIT AGAIN: wow I love reading these!! I can't believe Savanti Romero dies.

Except for Venus's letters. Maybe I'm weird, but that does amuse me to no end. I was reading one of Leo's, and he said the story starts in Venus's letter, except the link doesn't work.

"Well, I guess we don't need to link these from the front page anymore. I'll keep them around though. Except Venus... she must go"

Ahah yeah I've been going through them for a few hours now I've been reading away Dan's such a good writter! wow seriously.
He should really bring this back I love the merging of the tmnt universes!
And I actully don't mind the way Venus is written into the storys.
AGH! Rat Kings in this also geez.
oi! and Dreadmon and Jaguar to this is getting cooler and cooler!
I wonder why they stoped doing these they're great!
EDIT: WOW and even KRANG! I'm shocked! These are such good storys it's like lost episodes or archie issues or something!
