View Full Version : Worst movie?

Okay, which was the worst of the movies, 2 or 3?

I haven't seen the whole III for a looong time, so I can't really vote until I've seen it again... But I would be surprised if it's, on the whole, worse than II...

II:

Good points:
The costumes.
Telling a story about the Ooze

Bad points:
Silly dots on the faces.
Vanilla Ice.
Using Shredder again, instead of doing something new.
The non-used weapons.
Vanilla Ice.
The sound effects.
Rahzar and Tokka.
Vanilla Ice! :x

III:

Good points:
New story.
Having Casey back.

Bad points:
The costumes.
Splinter
Not using Casey to what he does best.

Theyre both cool, but TMNT 3 is worse than TMNT 2 by far. Weird plot, and no Shredder! :(

TMNT 3 certainly ain't that great, but I'll never understand why fans seem to hate it so much. It isn't any worse than TMNT 2... :-?

A hard choice... Both are bad movies, But I think the costumes will make the second one a little better.

Well, they look retarded in the third movie, and they weren't that great in the second movie either. The first movie had the best costumes, and it was in a darker atmosphere, so its a plus as well.

Overall though, TMNT going back to Ancient Japan = lame gimmick used to make money, and it showed. So the 3rd one was the worst movie of the bunch.

Is this even a question? I think we can all agree, as horrendous as the second one was...TMNT 3 was just a sheer abomination. I have no interest in seeing either of those two flops again. The original first film however stands as one of my top three films ever^)^ If only they could recapture the magic of that one!

as soon as i read the title, i already new what the answer everyone says would be hehe.

tmnt 3 was alot worse than 2. the costumes were worse, as were the voice overs. they werent in sync in a lot of places. yeah 3 had casey, but id rather not have him at all than have him the way they did.

Yeah,TMNT 1 was the best,because it was more comic-oriented. TMNT 2 isn't all bad,it has Shredder, Tatsu,Rahzar,and Tokka{some of my faves}. :)

I'm suprised that they didn't move on to Baxter Stockman and his mousers in the third one. The back in time thing is just lame. And I swear, if I ever hear Donatello say "shwing" ever again, I'm gonna shoot someone.

I liked all three movies a lot but in the 3rd one they took a lot of things too far. Such as showing that the TMNT watch too much tv, they had WAY too many jokes involving tv shows. Although it had it's good points but I'll have to say that tmnt 3 was the worst one.

Probably TMNT 3 thw worst...TMNT 2 was cheesy in parts but its still cooler to me I guess.

i don't think II is bad, it's a little kiddified, but i still like it

III is not very good at all. i don't want to restate the points already made, but i do want to say that III is just lame

If you ever read the old Comic Scene magazines, you will discover that TMNT II was drained of the action that TMNT I had. The second movie, in my opinion, wasn't as bad as some make it seem. The third movie is missing a "true" TMNT based storyline, thus creating a typical early '90's movie.

The second one has nothing to do with Original TMNT either. Still it is much better than third movie.

The Master Foot Soldier

Yes, but it had all the origin basics, The Shredder, and the ooze, although it wasn't the original story.

I'm going to say the Second one was worse. I hardly remember the Third one but I do remember it had some action. The Second one was just pure garbage. The characters of Shredder, Tatsu, and the Foot were all wasted, Tokka and Rahzar are only shades better than Jar Jar, there was no Casey Jones, no weapons, lame "Super" Shredder ending, no action, and who the hell cared about Keno?

Oh by the way did I mention VANILLA F*CKING ICE?

But don't get me wrong the Third movie was absolutely horrendous as well.

The thing that turned me off the most about TMNT 3 was the horrible acting (voices AND movment!) Like somebody already mentioned, the part where Leo and Don go, "AB-SO-LUTELY! SCHWING!" made me want to puke right in the theater (and to think, I was only 8 years old at the time of its release!)

Other dumb parts:

Raph: "It's wet willie time, Moe!"

Mike: "Kurt Russel, eat your heart out!"

Raph: "Hey! I don't kiss on the first date, lady!"

Mike: "Hey dude! Don't you know westerns are DEAD?"

How Walker snaps at April after she lies about how she shrunk "four incredibly cool guys"

Whit: "Equal partners...I'm not your spy anymore."

Don: "Help, I'm a turtle and I can't get up!"

Don: "Say bye-bye, blubber butt!"

Raph (in Arnold S. impression): "I'll be back..."

Raph's acting is bad when he throws the "turtle tantrum" at the beginning of the movie..

I could go on forever, but unfortunately, we don't have that kind of time :D

Why did they even make a third movie? By the time that train-wreck of a film came out, I, like most people my age, had lost complete interest in TMNT.

There's only three complaints I'm gonna make about TMNT 3:
1 - The TMNT looked like frogs.
2 - Splinter looked like a dog.
3 - No Renet (and I've never even heard of that character until a few years ago)

1) I don't want to be a complete bunghole, but he's NOT Bush JR...technically, his dad is "GHWB" while he's just "GWB"...flame me.

2) I just remembered another dumb line from TMNT 3:

Don: "Ugh! I think I just swallowed a frog! Hope it wasn't an ancestor..."

sure, the super kiddyfied mainstream TMNT was in that Simpsons time frame(back when Bart Simpson was everywhere) but those who remember know the TMNT best from the late 80's

Im pretty sure that All original Mirage fans will always remember TMNT, but most of the original cartoon fans have long ago forgotten it. The main stream TMNT was just a craze like pokemon is today, but the Mirage TMNT was a much more deeper experience.

Though I did stop watching the series some time in 1993 (actually, I don't remember when it was that I stopped watching it), there was never a time that I didn't like it. Every time I heard somebody had one of the games somewhere, I was always the first one to jump up and say, "OOO! OOO! I'LL PLAY!" To anybody that's read my post on my fanfic ideas, they'll know that one of the ideas for it originated back in '98 or '99, a few years after I thought I'd lost that TMNT touch.

The first movie is by far the best one. The second one was humorous but aliright. The third one in my opinion was the worst one. It did not follow the other two very well.

I just saw #3 again yesterday :

-Plot was OK.

-Villains didn't match Shredder but were OK.

-CJ returning was cool , he's one of my fav supporting characters :)

-It's OK with a little humor but it became a bit too much.

I give it 3 out of 6 points.

#1 will always be the best , #2 was decent (minus VI)

I think #2 was a lot better than #3. Although #2 definitely was geared towards the younger, mainstream audience, it was still decent and featured our faves like Tatsua, the Foot, and Shredder. I was disappointed that Casey didn't come back though. Also, since I was a little kid, I was real confused by April being a different actress. Anyways, although I hardly remember #3, I do remember that it was totally lame. The plot was again made for little kids, but this time it didn't have one oz. of TMNT familiarity to it. Unfortunately I don't remember Casey returning, so can anyone inform me on his role in the movie?

I'll make one more comment regarding TMNT 3:

I just watched it again for the first time in a long time a couple of weeks ago, and it was worse than I remembered...

Casey's role in TMNT III was limited to babysitting the samurai from the past. However, Elias Koteas also played Wit, a pirate that April befriends (and Raph jokes with, asking him if he has any relatives). I was sad that Casey didn't get to go with the turtles...

Boy, the third movie never gets any love. I must be one of only four people on the planet who 1) not only enjoyed the third movie, but 2) thought it was the best one in the series.

I can't quite say what it is about this movie that I like better than the first two. It's definitely more kid-friendly, which is always a plus in my book. I was glad they dropped the horrendous Super Shredder theme from the second movie and went back in time in the third film. I'd much rather watch Raphael teaching kids to fly kites and giving them advice about "watching their tempers" then see some actor in a ridiculous body suit and stomping around like an idiot.

The third movie was also the funniest of the three:

Donatello: "Did you know that in some countries dung is used as a fuel source?"

Raphael: "Did you hear what that guy called me, Leo?"
Leonardo: "Yeah, an ugly lump of dung!"

I also felt the third movie had more heart than the first two. I didn't care that Tokka and Rahzar were tearing up streets and flipping over cars. I didn't care that they didn't like doughnuts. But I did care when Michaelangelo ran into a burning building to save a child, and I did care when he got left behind in ancient Japan for a few minutes.

Even though the third movie is almost universally condemned, which makes no sense whatsoever, I will always consider it the best out of the three movies that were made.

Irma: "Where are you bozos taking me?"
Bebop: "Hey, lady. You ask too many questions."
Irma: "Well, how you expect me to learn anything?"
