Ok, I found the original Thread and bumped it, so I'll leave this thread for discussion on the Turtles and there various voice actors and them appearing in various roles. I admit, I'm a sucker for Voice actors, and follow them quite a bit. It amuses me to see them pop up in different places for different voices.

Any characters that threw you to discover that they were done by some of these voice actors? I've run into a lot with the Original Series cast. For instance, I had no idea when I was a kid, but Leonardo is Rocksteady and Donatello is Beebop. Why do I find these pairings hilarious?

Raphael is Pinky from Pinky and the Brain! Michealangelo is The Tick! Donatello is the Nesquick Bunny! (ok, the last one isn't much of a stretch)

PS - this thread was originally asking who was the best versions of voice actors for various characters, for reference, this is what I wrote down

Splinter - 2k3
Leonardo - 2K3/TMNT 2007
Donatello - 2K3
Raphael - 1987 Series (I'm a hopeless Rob Paulsen Fan)
Canon Raph - The voice actor for TMNT 2007 was awesome
Michelangelo - Call me a sucker for nastalgia, 1987 Mikey, complete with the surfer/stoner hybrid dialect.
April - 2k3
Casey -1987 (very different from every other version)
Shredder - TMNT 2007 (eh, just kidding :P )

I personally think, in my opinion, and such things that I should add to a disclaimer somewhere, your optional question is a good topic by itself.

Hehe glad to see someone else likes Whacko Casey. I don't do much research on voice actors...which is stupid since it's a possible career choice for me. Pat Fraley is like...my hero now >.>
Thanks by the way... I'mma never get the image of Sunshine going "NARF!" Out of there. On the other hand, now I get that Snow White and the Seven Samurai reference now...

Edit: ^ Okay now, I'm just being redundant right now. Saying the same thing over, and over. Repeating myself. Like a broken record.

OS Leo is/was also Prince Adam/He-Man in the 2002 series. And a Teacher on the show W.i.t.c.h.

I remember discovering that Phil Banks from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air was also the guy that voiced Shredder. It was so obvious for so long until a random wikipedia search revealed all.

I the first season pilot eps, the turtle VAs give voices for various other human characters. After this first season, new VAs were used for people. I never noticed until I just rewatched my volume 1 dvd a while ago.

Yeah, I meant to put a disclaimer apologizing that I was to lazy to look to make sure I wasn't repeating a thread *doh!* but I did post this at like two in the morning or something. . . my lame excuse.

They appear to have about seven regular voice actors in the original series that voices most of the male characters.

Going further in the humorous nature that is The Tick (which is the funniest show I never got into while it was one, bought the DVD and it sends me rolling every time) three of the four original turtles are on it.

Townsend Coleman aka Michealangelo - The Tick
Rob Paulsen aka Raphael - Arthur (later episodes) and various other voices.
Cam Clarke aka Leonardo - Die Fledermaus

Being an Animation Major, I collect various animated series (hence my interest in Voice Actors). All of the original voice actors show up in the Disney Afternoon Cartoons in side characters at least once or twice. I find this amusing.
