View Full Version : The Turtles on Family Guy?

Has Family Guy gotten their mitts on our boys yet? Why not? They've had a racist Kermit the Frog pull a gun on a weary traveler, Cookie Monster in rehab, Chester Cheetah on ecstasy, Iceman visiting a gay theater (lol), Liono watching Cheetara on the toilet, Jewish Optimus Prime... it's about time the Turtles had their cameo!!!!

Petition the writers over at Fox, guys. C'mon! What possible scenarios do you picture? Brainstorm! I wanna hear!! ;) I picture something like....

*Brian and Peter are sitting on the couch in silence*

Brian: "Hey uhh... Peter, there seems to be a lot of tension in the house lately, maybe we should all go to family counseling?"
Peter: "Yeah, maybe I could mediate like I did for the Ninja Turtles..."

*insert typical random Family Guy flashback*

Peter (with the Turtles and Splinter, all sitting in chairs in a circle): "Now fellas, it's normal to get a little angry with each other, it's nothin' to be ashamed of. Sometimes I get so mad at my son Meg... he acts so effeminate and whiny that I just wanna smack him. So that's what we'll do, I want you to all focus your anger outward on a particular source--"

*He bends down to get foam replicas of all their weapons and everyone stands up at once and KO's Raph with a single punch*
(And you know how FG always exaggerates a KO, like their body is sprawled every which way and an arm looks like it's dislocated? XDD)

Peter: *pouts* "Hey--I spent a lot of time on these!" *he throws the foamies on top of KO'ed Raph*

*Suddenly Shredder comes up behind Splinter and KO's him*

Peter: "Hey, didn't you die a gazillion times ago?"

*Suddenly Venus appears and KO's Shredder*

Venus: "A gazillion and one!"
Peter: "A chick? Where the shell'd you come from?"
Venus: "Well actually I--"

*Suddenly Peter Laird appears and KO's Venus*

Peter Laird: "--was NEVER supposed to see the light of day!"
Peter: "Who the shell are you?" *looks at camera* "A note to all you kids at home, that is actually a clever cover-up for hell... whenever you hear shell you should really know we're meaning HELL. Shell equals hell. HELL. Got it? Good."
Peter Laird: "Who the sh--I'm Peter Laird!"

*Leo rushes over*

Leo: "YOU! Why wasn't I your favorite!?! You created me and then you threw me away?!?! WHY???"

*Don comes up behind Leo and KO's him, high-fives Peter Laird*

Peter Laird: "Don's BETTER than you."

*end of flashback*

Okay, so that was dumb. I'm loopy... time for bed *totters off*

what are you talking about? There's a family guy episode with the original tmnt toon theme song in it. It's when the mayor west(?) watches his tv and the song was played;):)

Yeah, but did the Turtles make an appearance? They deserve an APPEARANCE, dang it! ;)

I'm assuming Seth Macfarlane isn't much of a TMNT fan.

How about this?

Peter: *at a gas station* $6.50 for gas? That's a bigger rip-off than when I had my own mechanic.

(Flashback. Donatello emerges from Peter's garage, covered in oil spots.)

Donatello: Alright. That'll be $4 and a box of pepperoni pizza.
Peter: $4 and pizza? God, you reptiles really are pushy.

I'll come up with more later! ^^

I'm assuming Seth Macfarlane isn't much of a TMNT fan.
If he wasn't, he wouldn't even bother putting the theme song in one of the episode in the first place.;) I think he's a fan, somebody just need to give him a push and he'll do a turtle scene.

They've also had the Trix bunny and the Kool-Aid pitcher dude on Family Guy before if that counts, as well as that hunter cartoon whatshisname shooting down Bugs Bunny, and Robin from Batman and Superman have their own apperances. I just hope Family Guy doesn't do anything bad with the ninja turtles if they do decide to add them.

I wondered why the TMNT didn't pop up in that episode where Stewie was riding his tricycle through the sewers. I mean, they went through many cool references that time, including Doom, Star Wars, and even The Simpsons.

The one I was really sruprised the TMNT didn't show up in was the episode where the family was running from the law and they run through the sewers I was like ok they are so going to run into the turtles or something from tmnt.
But no they ran into the goonies..
And has anyone else thought maybe the reason the turtles haven't been in the show is because it would cost to much.:ohwell:

Why do you think the old toons aren't on tv Fred Wolf films wants waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much money to air them.
It would make one think that the same could happen if you wanted to use them on the show.
Don't they have to ask permission to use the characters names and stuff on other shows? I would think so especially with the likes of the muppets being owned by Disney I'm sure they would get very fussy about it and the muppets have been on family guy a hand full of times. *shruggs*

Funny you mentioned this, me and my freinds were poking fun at the idea in the car while coming home from seeing the moive.

Peter:... like that one time I ran in to the the Ninja Turtles in the jungle

Peter (dressed like colonel santino and holding a sword): I ain't afraid of a ghost!

*Turtles come out and kick the crap out of him and take his clothes*

It was funny at the time... I commented on Leo killing the fat guy, and one of my freinds was like "nah he just left him naked in the jungle"... and it carried on from there.

This is one I posted on Toonzone a while back.

Peter: This is just like that time I led the foot clan in New York.

(Peter is the Shredder from the fisrt TMNT movie, and facing the turtles and Splinter on a rooftop.)

Splinter: I know who you are, Oroku Saki!

Peter: What?!

(Peter takes off his faceplate, and walks toward Splinter.)

Peter: My Name is Peter Griffin. You stupid rat. Peter Griffin! Okay.

Splinter: Terribly sorry.

Peter: Allright then.

(Splinter grabs Peter and throws him off the building.)

Peter: AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

(Peter lands into a garbage truck.)

Peter: This is worse than that time I failed art...

(Peter reads a question from the test: Name the acomplishments of Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael.
Peter writes: Defeated the Shredder and Krang by sending the Technodrome to Dimension X.)

Asian Reporter Trisha Takinawa as April O'Neil in yellow outfit: Diane, I'm here live in New York city where crime escalates into an alarming rate. Sir, can you tell us what do you think about this unfortunate event?

Bebop: Rargh! *snort *snort *snout *eeeeeekkkk (squeal like a pig and runs away)

Trisha Takinawa covered with pig's green saliva: Interesting....what do you think of this Miss...?

The real April O' Neil : You f***ing imposter! *Punch and kick the sh*t out of reporter Takinawa and leave her lying on the ground.

Well, now that Carol Burnett is suing FG's producers for using a parody of her character, it might be a little dodgy for them now.

But parodies are part of the fair use doctrine... let me see if there is something on Wikipedia I can use as an example:

Although a parody can be considered a derivative work under United States Copyright Law, it can be protected under the fair use doctrine, which is codified in 17 USC ยง 107. The Supreme Court of the United States stated that parody "is the use of some elements of a prior author's composition to create a new one that, at least in part, comments on that author's works." That commentary function provides some justification for use of the older work. See Campbell v. Acuff-Rose Music, Inc.

In 2001, the United States Court of Appeals, 11th Circuit, in Suntrust v. Houghton Mifflin, upheld the right of Alice Randall to publish a parody of Gone with the Wind called The Wind Done Gone, which told the same story from the point of view of Scarlett O'Hara's slaves, who were glad to be rid of her.

This is the exact reason Alfred Yankovic wasn't sued for Amish Paradise.

If they did use TMNT on FG...i hope it wouldn't be in bad taste. FG has been recently touching on topics that should NOT be used for laughs such as spousal abuse and child abuse, it's been really bad lately. Too bad, cos I love the show.

Yeah the humor is quite crude at times. I watch FG almost every night and I sometimes feel like a bad person for laughing at the "bad" jokes. Especially when they poke fun at christianity and God. I always chuckle at religious jokes and then feel bad about myself. :ohwell:

OMG what a funny thread!! I would love to see the classic turtles on Family Guy being spoofed on in a tastful way. here is mine.

Peter and Lois are at a party and and two members of the party keep throwing out concealed spiteful coments at each other making the atmousphere very unconfertable for every one there.

Lois leans in to Peter and whispers " wow those two really hate each other! I half expect them to go for each others throats at any moment"

Peter: nah, they won't do that, they might look like they hate each but that is just on the surface of an under laying sexual tension. **narrows eyes shrewdly** I should know, I learned to reconise these things by watchingthe the ninja turtles.

(cut away)

Leonardo and the other turtles are running through the technodrome.

Raphael: old chrome dome is finnally going down!

Michaelangelo: Yeah dude, that metal faced misfit won't get away with kidnapping our sensi!

Dontello: every one down this way! this id Shredder's room!

Turtles kick down the door and bust into the room

Leonardo: turtles fight with Hon--huh!

Splinter and Shredder are on the floor having sex, but stop in the middle when they notice the turtles.

Splinter: um...yeah, uh **laughs** this is a bit awkward.

Raphael: WTF going on here?!

Shredder: you wretched reptiles your always ruining everthing!

Michaelangelo: dude I thought you hated each other!

Splinter: Well...uh, I met to tell you guys.

Shredder : Whats to tell? you and I are an item **points at the turtles** so get used to it! I'm practically your father now.

Leonardo: Our father!? f*ck you! God I can't believe this sh*t.

Suddenly Krang come in crying his head off and every turns to look at him.

Krang: Shredder how could you!! I thought I was your one and only. And now I see yoiu are cheating on me with this sewer slut!!

Shredder: pfft. Please Krang! You knew you where only sloppy seconds.

Turtles, Krang and Shredder erupt into a loud argument that escalades into an all out brawl.

Suddenly Bebop and Rocksteady fall out of the closet with camcorder and flaten every one in typical Family Guy stlye

That's the point of Family Guy, which is why most people love the show. They poke fun at everything and everyone. No one is left out. I like when they joke the politically correct stuff and double standard kind of thing. It's just so silly, that's why you don't feel bad laughing initially. It's meant to be stupid humor. I think we can all agree though, the TMNT would be seen in a flashback. I think it'd be funny to replace the fighting chicken with a ninja turtle. Just for chuckles once in awhile.

[Peter talking and in jumps the chicken. Ninja turtle then jumps in front of the chicken, kicking him out of the way, then fights Peter.] Or something like that.

I realy hope the TMNT dont show up in Family Guy as I have grown to loathe it. It was funny once, but now they have found a formula that works and every episode is the same. Its just not funny anymore. The episode of South Park that bashes family guy got it right, the jokes dont even come from the plot. The TMNT on family guy would be soiling something I love.

Yeah, SP ruined FG for me. That episode was hilarious.

Lately SP has gotten a little too angry and vindictive, even for itself.

Remember the time when Family Guy was funny?

Last Sunday's episode was pretty bad. About 30 minutes of played out "Texas is dumb am I right?" jokes. They even tried going to the Dick Cheney well yet again. American Dad is definitely the better show now. The Simpsons was funnier last Sunday as well.

Peter: Now Chris, you be careful out there. I remember back when I was a delivery boy. Met some of the worst jerks ever doing that job.

*Cutaway to Peter standing on top of 1,22 and an 8th. Mike pokes out of the grate a little.*

Peter: Awww, c'mon, I couldn't find the place.

Mike: Just give me the pizza dude.

*Peter starts to lower the box in, then stops*

Peter: No! No, y'know what, no!

Mike: Huh?

Peter: I...do you know what it's like being a delivery boy? You think I like standing here, standing here and getting all abused and...and stuff? Cause I don't! Y'know?

Mike: The...the offer said eight minutes or...

Peter *Cutting him off*: Oh, I'm so sorry! I mean, it's not like we're in New York or anything. Y'know, New York with all the traffic jams and muggers and transvestite hookers and guys who use the fact they come from Brooklyn as an excuse not to speak English. So sorry I'm ten frigging minutes late!

Mike: Could you...could you just give me the pizza?

Peter: No I will not give you the pizza! This job is to put me through college! Y'know, the place you go to so you don't have to live in the sewer like a stupid hobo?

Mike: Alright, that's it...

*A nunchuck flies out of the grate and smacks Peter on the knee. Peter drops the pizza as he goes down*

Peter: Agh! Agh, holy crap!

*Mike climbs out of the grate and snags the pizza*

Mike: Yeah! Yeah, turtle power fat ass! Here's your stinking ten!

*Mike tosses the ten at Peter, then slams the grate closed, taking the pizza with him. Cutback to Peter.*

Peter: The eighties were a difficult time.
