Ok well we have no idea when this is going to air but Dan has put a synopsis up on the official website.
EPISODE 138

"Race For Glory!"

Story Editor: Lloyd Goldfine

Senior Supervising Director: Roy Burdine

Written by Marty Isenberg

Synopsis:
The Turtles enter a tricked-out Hovershell in a cross-country road race that pits the latest high tech experimental vehicles against one another. But the fun and games quickly turn serious when Triple Threat decides to crash the race and steal all the cars.
Oh yay my least favorite character out of this entire series.
Why does this seem like it's going to be Plant Racers part II.:dead:
I can't say I've got much hope for this one how about the rest of you?

Ehh...the Plant Racers episode was okay...but definitely not my favorite episode. They didn't have to focus it on racing so much. This definitely sounds like it's going to follow up on this, only it's not going to be as good in terms of plot. And the idea of a giant race is just...I don't know. Cheesy?

I'm trying to accept Fast Forward, I really am...but I just can't accept it. Maybe that's why I'm frowning at this idea for a race... *sighs* Then again, Teen Titans managed to pull off an episode similar to this fairly well, but that's different, I guess. And they had some good simi-plots braking off. Maybe Fast Forward will try something similar with this episode? :-?

I'm not really looking forward to this ep much either. Triple Threat is also my least favorite villain on Fast Forward, and I get the feeling I'm not going to be able to change my opinion after watching this episode.

However, I'll kindly eat my words if it turns out be great.

Ah, so you are right, Ruko. I never saw that on my monitor until now :-? *goes and adds the little bit that was cut off*

Hopefully not. I'm going to try and hold back all judgement until I see this episode. I'm very curious now, and since I've heard a lot of phrase coming from those who watch it about the recent episodes, I think I'll try and give this episode a chance. Who knows? Maybe it will be the underdog episode of the season?

I am just happy to hear that Triple Threat is back for this one.

I thought Jammerhead was you least fav... No? Triple-Threat is my least favorite though, for sure. Sorry, Hero. But... I smell a filler ep. o.o

Why categorize things in to "filler" or "progress"? There's nothing wrong with breaking things up a little, and the writing is of a high enough quality on this show that even the "filler" or "standalone" eps still tend to work in continuity.

I can't say I like Triple Threat, but he/they/it? entertains me. Just so gloriously stupid. :P

Kunoichi_Haruko

My guess is they're saving the good stuff for later, maybe? We still have another season to get through-- maybe they've decided to get all the crap episodes out of the way so they can get down to business in the fall, you know? *shrugs*

But I hope I'm wrong. I'd hate for these last 6 episodes to be utter junk....

CyberCubed
05-01-2007, 03:02 PM
Why would the last 6 eps be junk when they have to wrap up everything?

FF was originally planned to only be 26 episodes, so its a good bet they're going to try to wrap up everything they've done during the season with these last eps.

This one does sound like a filler though, so I suppose the last 5 eps will all be about the main villains.

Kunoichi_Haruko
05-01-2007, 03:09 PM
Yeah, sorry that's what I kind of meant. It wouldn't make sense to have the last 5 or 6 be junk, so that's why I was hoping I was wrong. I mean, c'mon, 4Kids likes to throw us for a loop, so who knows what they've got up their sleeve for the end of the series. Maybe this ep will put Triple Threat out of commision for a while, a very long while (I really can't stand the character at all). Like I said, I hope I'm wrong about these last episodes being...less than stellar, I guess.

I had nothing better to do. :P But, I didn't say fillerness was a bad thing. Some people don't like filler eps. Some (substantially fewer, I believe) prefer eps that chase their tails. It's a matter of personal taste.
Why would the last 6 eps be junk when they have to wrap up everything?
Since they're producing another season of >>, they really don't need to and probably shouldn't wrap everything up. The scripts for Space Usagi to appear in >> were only sent to Stan Sakai for approval. So, there's no way they could churn out an even halfway decent ep on such short notice. Also, I believe Mr. Sakai said himself that it was intended to occur next season. I'm hoping that the chrono-distortion issues will be ironed out between then and now.
In 2K3, Usagi's homeworld was only developed to the feudal stage. A mere century later, they have the means for space travel?? I think not. Not impossible, but very unlikely if you ask me.

I understand, but do you think the writers knew this from the getgo? It seems to me that 4kids only renewed FF for another season just recently.

If the writers didn't think they'd get another season in the future, it would make more sense for them to wrap everything up just in case the show ended. That's why I imagine the second season of FF will go in a different direction than this season, because they need to come up with new story material.

Yay! More Triple H er Threat! He cracks me up.

This ep may sound like it's Planet Racers Pt Deux but think of the possibilities!

They're traveling in a road race across the U.S. We'll be able to see what the rest of the U.S looks like in 2105! Who knows...perhaps they'll be visiting your town? Me? I'd love to see Future Seattle or Future Salt Lake City. :D

Nah I hate Jammerhead but atleast his got decent storys written about him this tripple T guy is just like some run of the mill old toon villian he's got no point in anything besides breaking stuff.
And I'd hardly call anything in the 2k3-FF series filler everything is connected and is related to one story or another.

You know you do actully bring up a good point! But I don't know if they'd take the time to do all of that.
I'd love to see what happens to los angeles in FF I wonder if it's sunk into the ocean lol.

You don't have to say filler is a bad thing; the word "filler" basically means "junk." Don't get me wrong... I'm not that easily impressed. But I guess I don't like to see people's work off-handedly dissed. To me it's not a matter of personal taste; it's a matter of respect.

Gee, here I thought I was Catholic.... ;)

How can every show of a series be filler? That's like calling a lump of icing "cake."

I wanted to say it was like calling introns "genes" but I thought I'd be comprehensible for a change.

wouldn't it just be called a single episode? And isn't the term "filler" relatively new? Well atleast in the sence that it's being used for tv anyway.
but none of the FF episodes that I can think of thus far have been that way nore have 2k3 tmnt all the episodes have themes and characters that come back and the stroy continues even if the story isn't very good let alone the character it's about.

I like Triple Threat honestly.

Infact I will go as far to say that lately anytime I feel like watching my TMNT DVD's, I always end up watching FF more then the 2k3 series.

I don't know, it just feels so different and fresh, and fun, that it peaks my interest more then 2k3 does. Not to say 2k3 sucks or anything, but the break in 2k3 action is definately needed so it won't go sour too quick. After rewatching my FF DVD's a ton lately, I have grown quite attached to the villans, well Jammerhead I can live without, but if I had to rate my fave villans in order here's how it would go.

1. Sho'kanabo
2. Dark Turtles
3. Darrius Dunn
4. Triple Threat
5. Jammerhead

The Inuwashi Gunjin are now good guys, so they cannot count, and Zukko is only starting to show up, so we'll see how he turns out.

I'm really interested to know what new villans will show up for season 7.

We're more than likely going to get bashed for this but I must agree when I sit and watch my tmnt dvd's I don't go for the 2k3 ones (sans the mutants and monsters dvd) but instead I go for the Fast Forward or Old Toon dvd's While I enjoyed 2k3 I just find it hard for some reason to watch the episodes over and over again.

Pfft, let me get bashed for being different... I see too many puppets in the world following the same trends.

Most popular music is rap, so you see more rappers coming about, talking about their blinged out teeth, and how many women they pimp. I don't mind rap, but rappers these days are fake, compared to 2Pac, and Biggy, and DMX.

I keep seeing people go based on others opinions more then I see them make their own choices. Like in games, if games on Gamespot.com or IGN.com get bad reviews, all the sudden people have second thoughts, when it could just be the person playing it, who never liked it.

Like I said, I've been enjoying FF a hell of a lot more then I ever have. They feel different. Each episode doesn't feel the same.

I know it's off-topic, but I agree with you wholeheartedly on this point. I've stopped listening to the radio completely now because all I hear are the same Top 40 crap hits playing every two hours, plus all the bland rap that all focuses on the same thing all the time. No one has anything to say anymore-- it pisses me off.

I'd rather listen to my CDs on repeat during my commutes....

I hate the rubbish thats considerd rap today they want to talk about John Imus(sp) I think they better start with the cleanup of the filth and blatent disrespect for african american culture(and others) that is modern rap.

Don't get me wrong, some rap is good, but when rappers like DMX bash other rappers for not talking about anything other then flashy cars, and messin with women and how many, then it's saying something. One song in particular makes me wonder how much he appreciates what was given to him (money, and his career,) is the bootleg rapper who sings, "I'm going to beat that ***** up." That dude should really have the crap knocked out of him, or a bible thrown at him.

As for me, I'd rather follow other trends. Sure when I was 14 and hanging out with my friends, I thought I wanted to be a blood, but then I thought way back then, this is only trying to be cool, when I can be cool my own way, and it worked. So if people thought knocking over trashcans on their bikes was fun, I was running them over with my car. Yes I can be rougish at times, but not like that. Now I'm an adult rougish type.

Seeing Fast Forward a lot lately has made me appreciate what it tries to do, be different. I mean it's not as kiddy as the old school toon, but it's not as dark as seasons 1-5. It's dark when it needs to be, and it's light hearted when it needs to be. The difference in each episode though, makes it feel fresh and I can never predict what's going to happen in each episode.

I do miss the old animation style and hope that even season 7 (what some would call FF season 2,) can go back to that style.

Damn it he ruined "Clash of the Turtles Titans" which would have been a much better epsidoe if it had a better villan (I love Turtle Titan II's back story)

At least Jammer Head is a compatent villain. He's annoying as hell but he's a threat. TT is not a threat he's too dumb. I mean he has three heads and not an ounce of smarts even when put togeter.

I fear this is a Raph episode. if so why does Raph get the worse episodes, even in 2k3 his episodes were lacking for the most part.

A topic on an episode with an indeterminate airdate? My, no wonder there's so much speculation.

Let it be said that I only like Triple-Threat's yellow head. Some of his nonsense comments (i.e. "Paste is sticky!") and delivery cracks me up. But as a character on the whole, he's weak.
