So anway I turned on the tele this morning and it takes me a moment to realize that not only is this TMNT but this punk kid is trying to save the day in a robot suit. In reality he's doing it to save these stupid video games. So much for heroism.

And it's Mikey who goes to him all serious like and says it's only games. It totally should have been Leo because at the end of the show, Cody Augustus Jones' new girl friend brings Mikey a new game and Mikey procedes to go nutso over it.

So much for his moment of clarity.

Side note: This was my first actual TV experience with Cody. I wasn't impressed with him either.

Cody does NOT go with the Turtles on all their missions. In most episodes of FF, the Turtles fight without him. It's not TMNT + kid in a robot in every episode, if that's what you're thinking.

Cody is involved with the main storyline of FF obviously, so he's in quite a number of episodes. Luckily in a number of them he just stays in O'Neil tech.

At first, it's Mikey who's obsessed with getting the videogames back from the thieves (and so Cody tries to help him out by saving the truck). And that's the reason for Mikey being the one to tell Cody of letting the truck go, as well as for the joking end-piece.

I don't hate everything 'happy' or people 'in love'. What I dislike is poorly constructed, dime a dozen characters, when so much MORE is possible.

What I dislike (if you're thinking about what I think you're thinking)... is overplayed, drawn out, over dramatic love affairs. 'Oh, I love you, but I can't have you!' 'I wasn't ready to love you, but now I am, but now you're with someone else and I can't have you.' etc. etc. etc. More can be done with love stories than these predictable, formula following things.

I quite enjoy a well done story and character, and I am happy for those with love in their life.

Once again another case of people needing to let the person being talked about speak for themselves.
Busladys having a family has nothing to do with tmnt.
She's a grown woman with a kid who drives a busload of children I'd thinks he could handle some one acting up herself ;)

EDIT: I posted this in the thread about splinter in fast forward and I'll say it all once again read it this times kids cause you might actully get an idea or two and learn something...I doubt it but hey who the hell knows...

I'd say they had Splinter go with them to the future so as we saw in many episodes he could actually get some peace and rest up after years of aggravation and fighting the foot.
I also believe them just coming from saving the world in the lost season is cause for both splinter and the turtles mood changes.
They just came from a total apocalyptic world and then are suddenly swept up into this beautiful futuristic world.
I think all of you would be pretty damn happy as well if that just happened to you perhaps a bit scared as well just as they where in the first episode of Fast Forward.
I to questioned Splinter place in Fast Forward at first but as the show progressed I am happy to have him there.
And if he wasn't I'm quite sure the fans would have complained about that as well giving another bad strike against Fast Forward.
I mean he has said things about watching soaps which I hate but as we can see it was said in the new CGI film as well so the blame for that idea can not be placed on the head of Fast Forward.
And why in the world would Starlee go to a grand event like that? She's just a worker not part of the O'Neil family much like the turtles and Splinter are to Codey.
Holo-Splinter yeah why not give the fans another reason to complain about this being a cold lifeless Splinter I can see it all now.
Also I could see if Splinter staying behind back in the present day NYC that something bad could have happend to him or he could have gone insane of the fact the turtles vanished.
Hell he could even pass away while they're gone. While I would enjoy a storyline like that I can honestly say I wouldn't want to see that happen to Splinter on tv.
Quite frankly the one who should have stayed in the past is Donatello while he has always been my favorite turtle he really has no place in Fast Forward there are people who are light years smarter than him now and he really doesnt serve much of a role beside being a lacky to much smarter characters from the future he should have stayed behind and they could have written that he was in our time trying to bring the guys and splinter back with the help of April.
And my thoughts about your idea sound like you've been watching the new movie one to many times.

Every time I complain about something I've got constructive criticism to go along with I don't make pointless complaints.

You hadn't given these or any reasons at all (in this thread) for saying so before I replied. It's still a stretch, and that makes for a poor comparison (not hatin', yo). As far as both making messes for the Turtles to clean up, that's a good argument, but it's like saying Karai (who showed up in the mid-'90s) is just like Lotus Blossom (who debuted in '89) because they're both competent female ninja on the bad guys' side. Similar role, but not similar characters. Zach begged for Master Splinter to train him, but Cody was more or less just awarded that. And, while they do both have a fascination with the Turtles, Zach was kissing their shells everytime they turned around while Cody has the attention-span of a healthily non-obsessed kid. So, I'll halfway agree with your third point. I don't think it's fair to say they're the same, but I'll have to reconsider that the producers might have intended to make some sort of reference with his name to "The Suite Life of..." :sick: Think I'm gonna hurl...
