But guess what, it's old school turtles!

A new magazine called cereal:geek animation of the eighties came out this week. I just picked it up at my comic shop, issue one. It's a quarterly magazine since it says First Quarter 2007 on the cover. The only catch is that it's $12.

Still there's some sweet stuff in it. A cool drawing of Krang playing with TMNT toys (and he broke Raph), and old school shredder. Plus it breaks down the turtles intro. When I say breaks down I mean they give all the technical mumbo jumbo and praise it a lot.

Turtles takes the #3 spot for top ten eighties cartoon theme songs, with Jem and Inspector gadget as #2 and #1 respectively.

Other cool appearances by the Transformers, Real Ghostbusters, Thundercats, and He-man/She-ra who seem to take the center piece of this issue.

It's a really cool magazine, and I suggest it if you have $12 to waste, but let me offer a small warning. There are some really iffy drawings of 80's cartoon women/girls. If that's not your thing it doesn't take up much of the magazine, but if you really don't want to see penny from inspector gadget with her legs open smoking a cigarette... then maybe pass this one up.

I actually spotted their website online a couple months ago and considered it, now I see the threads here, and I'm thinking I can afford to take $12 out of my paypal account. 100 pages is a pretty good read and the art looks great.

But I mean, TMNT, She-Ra, AND Penny with her legs open, smoking a cig? Dare I hope for some suggestive illustrations of April? Guess I can't afford to wait any longer.
