Congrats to Murphy for Harvey Nom!

[JAkeBlack]

Our guiding light, Steve Murphy, is nominated for a Harvey Award (one of the top two awards in comics...If Eisners are the Oscars of comics, the Harveys are the Golden Globes...) for Best Writer for his indie series "Umbro."

Congrats to him! (And if you've not read Umbro, Murphy's non-TMNT series, yet you need to order it through your comic shop. It's great stuff!)

The winners will be announced at the Baltimore Comic Con in September! But, way to go Murphy!!

[Kunoichi_Haruko]

Way to go, Murphy! Best of luck!

Umbra is, in all seriousness, one of the most intricate, well penned stories I've read in ages, and easily stands as the best comic story I've read in years. I've read the works of the other nominated writers, and am a big fan of the books they're nominated for, but Umbra truly is an impressive read. Congrats Murph, you know you've got my vote!

Congratulations! Go Mr. Murphy!

(And thanks for explaining the difference between a Harvey and an Eisner. I didn't know.)
