All right, most of us know of the very strong decrease in action-oritented episodes and maturity in the drop from the first to second season, but throughout the series, how would you say that level of maturity and action evolved...or devolved? How would you compare the level of maturity from the second season to the third, and so on?

The marturity level didn't decrease very much at all between season 1 and 2, but the action was cut back on severly. To sum things up, it got less serious with each season (yet, 3 was better than 2) until 7, then came Red Sky.

Y'know... Red Sky didn't seem all that action-oriented after I saw a few eps.

Yeah, the colors were darker, the turtles looked meaner, less pizza jokes and surfer lingo, they had the whole plot with humanity hating the turtles again and actually blowing up the Channel 6 building and stuff.... but then what?

They didn't have much action, again, no real fighting. They were still just tying up the bad guys or cutting something so a big curtain can fall on them and the like. Mike didn't get his nunchucks back. They still fought extremely cartoony and stupid looking monsters and fought hokey looking villians like the Blobfather and stuff like these wacky nanomachines that somehow build entire pieces of sophisticated equipment in the blink of an eye and other cartoony garbage. I mean, even in the big final fight against Dregg, it's not like they were actually trading blows with the guy.

It's just.. I dunno... it might have been a lil more serious in tone, and yeah, the stories were more connected now.. but still... it didn't feel much different from the CBS episodes.

Heh, we didn't see that kind of spirit past the pilot episodes. I think Leonardo decided to lighten up once he realized that without Shredder and Krang he wouldn't have much of a job. Dregg? Yeah, point taken.
