Have they made a Rennet figure? And if so, why not?

And when does the TMNT site intend to make links for the new movie April and Casey figures?

No Renet. Probably because she isn't popular enough, only appearing in 3 eps. The proabably figured she would not sell well to children.

ninjaturtles.com usually updates the toys once every month or two after new figs come out

Savanti is only in 3, and one is only the very end. He got his own toy, a poor one I might add.

But he is a BA villian. It would seem that kids would rather play with a Savanti figure than a Renet fig.

Unfortunately, it is against Renet that she's female. Female action figures just have a harder time when it comes to selling.

I understand females don't sell well enough, but someone should have told that to playmates in the 90's. How many different april o'neils did they make? They even made irma!

This series, correct me if I'm wrong, they only made 3 females, and one was almost cancelled and then only released in a limited run, and she wasn't even obviously female.

If they could make irma, rennet should be fair game ;)

I agree completely! I would love to see a Renet. That is a good question. Why didn't they make one? I would guess the OT line of toys sold much better than the 2k3 toys so they could afford to shell out pretty much whatever they wanted to. 2k3 had to pick and choose which figs would sell and which ones wouldn't.

Oh I agree that there's no good reason not to make Renet, but since when did Playmates ever listen to reason? :P

The same thing happens with Star Wars. Padme wore a billion different outfits throughout Episodes 1-3, yet only a handful of them have been turned into action figures. She only had one outfit turned into a figure for Episode 3 and there hasn't been another Padme figure in the two years since. Well, there might be a new one now, but it's the dozenth version of the white battle outfit from Episode 2 - I am so sick of that one!! :dead:

The newest Padme they did was in the Saga II collection, and yeah it was that blasted white outfit from AOTC.

They should do the one from EP1 where she is in the room with senator palpatine..looks oriental or asian type of dress.

Yeah, that's the Pre-Senate Kimono... veryvery nice. It's pathetic that they haven't done all of the Episode 1 outfits and that came out 8 years ago.

I'd actually prefer to them to do another series of dolls.. but that got scrapped because of poor sales. Although you have to also figure in the over-commercialization of Episode 1 in general - if they made new dolls in moderate numbers now, they'd sell great. Of course, Sideshow now has that license and they can't even give us the Clone Wars Padme that we voted for almost two years ago. But they are giving us Asajj Ventress who lost the vote and has a more complicated outfit. Whatever...

The outfit she later wore in AOTC, the one her decoy had on at the beginning when the ship exploded..I have always liked that one also.

Back to the topic. I think I Renet figure would be cool. And I do agree that the Savanti figure looks pretty crappy. They should have made him with full detachable bone armor.

Speaking of female figs, I saw a starlee fig a while ago. I can't wait for her to hit shelves. Females are so rare and for some reason I really like starlee

For star wars, though we haven't gotten gutted with tons of padmes... yet, they have made a zillion Leias.

I think GI Joe: Sigma Sux is a better example. Scarlet is one of the core 6 or whatever, and they didn't make her or baroness, a main villain. Now that's just ridiculous.

Yeah, even though I bought Savanti I was really disappointed he had all the bone crap all over him.

That's because in addition to Darth Vader, Luke, Leia, and Han Solo are your best selling characters. I haven't seen a Leia worth buying in a long while, though. I did just get the Biggs Darklighter from the ANH cut scenes figure - woot!

I want those last Fast Forward figures also and Murphy is working very hard to make sure playmates releases them.

Me also I want a more comic like version of Savanti

maybe its all the non-alcoholic beer clouding my judgement, but i think savanti is a rather cool looking figure. very evil.

I've seen that one but passed on it.

The only one I have bought from the new Anniversary collection is the Vader #16 with removable helmet.

Can't find a Mcquarrie boba fett anywhere

Wow that paleo patrol line was interesting. Splinter got his own fig and he didn't even go in time with the turtles. Yet, Renet went along on the adventure and she get's the snub! Uncool, especially since Renet looks super hot without her head gear on.:o

Hey, if Dr. Malignus got a figure when (at the time) he had only made one, very minor appearance, I don't see why Renet shouldn't get a figure - female or not! She could even come with Lord Simultaneous' humanoid and head appearances.

(And doubtful, but there could even be a chase version for comic fans where Simultaneous' skin is green :D )

Malingus looks like a villain that kids would find interesting, and that's why they made him.

I wanted toys of Touch and Go too, shame they never got made.
