Sunshine and I were kinda having this discussion before due to some events in our RP. We often step out of the game, and continue saying things in character that don't actually count. For example-

Don (looking way WAY up at the ginormous mutant crocodile): "Okay...I MIGHT be gay...but not with you."

I voted for Yoshi/Shen.:D They are two good people who truly love each other. To bad their lives ended sadly...but then we would not have the Ninja Turtles...
I was sooo happy to see them in the toons. Its sad Shen was not included in the old toon.
In the comics, Yoshi kills a fellow foot clan member Oruku Nagi (Shedders bro) to save her! Yoshi in disgrace leaves Japan with Shen and Splinter to start a new life together.
I think in the movies, Yoshi and Shredder both love her but she chooses Yoshi and they leave for america with Splinter.

As for me:

Leo/Karai Although, the pairing kind of died when she went totally OOC in season 4 and never looked back...even though she seems hellbent on hating the Hamato clan, I can't help but feel that Leo may still care about her.

Chaplin/Karai I always though his crush on her was cute, and it intensified with what I've heard of the Lost Season. They make a cute couple, and seem right for each other in a different way from Leo/Karai.

Yoshi/Shen An official couple that was sweet even though it was sadly short-lived.

Mikey/Renet These two just seem made for each other if you ask me, I LOVE the idea of them hooking up...they'd be so cute together!

Don/April I just don't like April/Casey that much in the new toon, Casey annoys me far too much for me to enjoy it and see it work like it does in the other versions of the story. Donnie and April on the other hand seem made for each other.

Well, thanks for the definition but I already knew exactly what the word means. And to be completely honest having the turtles be gay is retarded. It impedes, slows down, and disables the character from how they are written and how they are intended to be interpreted.

Also it is a complete perversion of the characters but so is probably 90% of all fanfiction. It completely alters the character, which is one of the definitions of the word. Perversion means to change to what is unnatural or abnormal. Taking the characters and completely turning them into something they are not definitely classifies.

My question here is, how do you know they're not? We could ask, but then from what I've heard, they're supposedly not interested in human females either. Whatever we're asking on the topic of romance, we're most likely to get the response that will be the least likely to stir the hornets' nest. There are a lot of closed-minded people in the world, who still belive things like homosexuality and interracial relationships are "wrong". These characters are fictional, and within their fictional world, span many other fictional dimensions. Their story has curved in so many different ways. The characters have been portrayed in different ways. This is just a different way to see things.

I personally don't believe in sexuality. If I lived in my perfect world, I wouldn't have to use the labels slapped on such things to make people get what the hell I'm talking about.

You know the saying "It's not what you say, but how you say it." ? Inflection does not carry well through text, and some words in this language have been perverted quite a bit from their original meaning, to common use. Not everyone is going to use words on the same level, or assume that others would do so. Perhaps we should be careful how we express our opinions on these matters.

Even though their relationship can be kinda flaky at times, I feel that they can eventually get back together to compensate for that. Their relationship is usually the most interesting IMHO.

There's a difference between a relationship and a simple showing of compassion and mercy. Leonardo and his brothers took pity on her because of the kind of life she was forced to live; they helped her out in any which way they could, and offered several times to help her start a new life. And how does she repay them? By breaking into their home and trying to kill them.
