There have probably been some threads about that show, but not having found any recent ones i thought i might start a new one.

I have to say i got a good laugh out of it and was surprised about the pretty good quality of the drawings.
I also liked the parody-approach (as you can tell by looking at my sig), only the voices got annoying after a while (ESPECIALLY krang!).
Oh yeah, and the wiggling juggs of the evil dark-mu were a nice addition too.

Soo, what is your opinion on that two episodes? And are those two the only ones in existance?

Do you mean the OVA where they mutate to Super Turtles or something like that?

I've only seen it the once, although I do own it on DVD (was in fact one of my first ebay purchases!) What I really dug was this one scene where there's a flood in New York and the camera pans from the Statue of Liberty to the Technodrome (or vice versa)... The rest I thought was pretty cool, albeit a little strange...

Those were certainly the same seiyu (voice actors) for Shredder & Krang as in the Japanese dub of the classic 'toon. Rose can probably hook us up with YouTube of the end theme + ep preview where you can tell. I wouldn't be surprised if all the other characters were the same seiyu as well.

Actually, I did research, and I don't think the same dub people did the voices as they did for the anime.

But on topic... I thought it was funny... but funny in the way that plan 9 from outer space was funny. It's bad, wrong, and I can't tell if they're trying to be satirical, or they're trying to copy what they can without getting sued.

For example... Episode one...

The Turtles look exactly like:

And in episode 2, the turtles wear armor suspiciously like:

(especially since one of them has a Dragon too.

I would agree that Shredder and Krang sound to be the same.

All you guys who saw this for the first time with subtitles are lucky - Some of us saw the OVA for the first time long before there were subs available and that is a viewing experience on much more crack than when you actually know what's going on (as much as one can with these). We also didn't know the history behind the videos, so for the longest time it was assumed we were missing an episode that explained power-up crystals and why there were freakin' faeries hanging around! Turns out, those things just ARE. Love you, Japan. Really. :D

The faeries were from Dimension X, right? Or, should we believe the Neutrino ruins were on Earth? If they were from Dimension X, I wonder what point in the series they expected these eps to occur in. Important? No. Curious? Aren't I always? ^_^

So, there really are just two episodes, not three? I also always thought that we were missing episode one that was shown as a flashback.

The flashback recaps the events of the Super Mutant Turtles manga series which lead up to the events of the first OVA. Hence the confusion from American fans who didn't know the manga existed.

Do you have any of these? I was under the impression that the only manga that existed were adaptations of the original cartoon, the two OVAs, and the third movie. I wasn't aware there was actual new content in any of them.

I *wish* I had them. Then I could translate them like I do that Transformers manga for TFArchive.com. However, NinjaTurtles.com has a few scans of the Super Mutant Turtles manga:

Yeah, but NinjaTurtles.com says that it's just an adaptation of the OVA.

Apperantly there is no "episode 1" so to speak.
