When will the new season start?

So when will this new season start? I see so many dates and im so confused. And when will the dvd come out?

Don't know about the remainder of Fast Forward's airing on TV, but the DVD is just a few weeks away (Aug. 7th).

This is 4kids plan as of now:

- The last 6 episodes of Fast Forward will start in September and finish its run by October.

- Starting in Jaunuary 4kids will air all 12 episodes of the Lost Season aka Season 5 aka Ninja Tribunal. This should finish by about April or May.

- In Fall of 2008, the new TMNT series which brings the turtles back to the present will start. It will pick up right after the end of Fast Forward and move into a new direction with most likely a new animation style to closely resemble the movie.

That's all we know as of now, I'm glad 4kids is moving in a good direction and attempting to fix past mistakes. Let's hope the good stuff continues.

They didn't even decide on the new series until about a month ago, so its going to take them a while to write the script, do the animation, and produce the episodes.

The reason they're finally airing the Lost Season is to simply buy them some time until they can air something new. But I can understand for the people here who have already seen the Lost Season, next year is going to be nothing but repeats to some of you. That's the breaks, I guess.

Oh well, at least with it being aired, that might mean Lost Season on DVD!

- DVD's just a few weeks away.

- Lost Season DVD will hopefully be released on time. I do have and did watch the Region 4 DVDs, but I still want to get the American version.

- January is just 5 months away!

- Fall of 2008 is just a year away. I'll be out of adolescence. I will have finished my Specialist degree. I will have traveled to Scandinavia. And I will hopefully be able to purchase a condo around that time. Sweet.

I have so much to look forward to- I cannot get emo or depressed! That, and I just remembered another old dream: I want to go on JEOPARDY! Now I know more English and pop culture references, so I have a higher chance of succeeding.

If by new direction they simply mean a change of animation style, fine with me! As long as they do not pull a TNM style screw-up or kill off Splinter or someone else important, then I am looking forward to new plots. After all, the Ninja Tribunal is not in Mirage- yet the Lost Season ROCKED MY SOCKS!!!

The Fall 2008 cartoon season is so going to rock (I hope) - TMNT! Transformers: The Animated Series! Wolverine and the X-Men! Zorro: Generation Z! Even The Batman! All my favorite franchises will be around in some form or another! I can't wait!
