Yeah Tim Burton is great, but not his thing. I could see the original TMNT director maybe, heh. Not really sure *who* I could see. I know the pretext for what it *should* be if a new live action ever gets made(suits instead of cgi'd TMNT, Jim Henson Creature Shop, NYC setting, some wirefu/matrix styled action scenes, smart innovative writing)

I heard that Steve Barron is doing the miniseries. And Im perfecty happy with that. But yeah, Tim Burton could probably do fine with a TMNT movie. Diffrent question is will they have big enough budget to use a high profile director.

Hmmm, I dunno. But I know that Tim Burton would definitely convert some non-turtle fans to turtle-fans. He did that to me with Batman, and now I'm watching Batman: Beyond all the time.

Nah, Tim Burton is a genre director. Unless you want to see the TMNT all in black, battling villians in gothic statue filled NYC :). I do like a lot of his work though Batman, Sleepy Hollow, Nightmare Before Christmas...etc. it just wouldn't work for TMNT.

That is a brillaint idea! So that 20 years from now they can go back and totally fsck up the film with irresponsibly added cgi crap and edits everywhere(Like how they ruined ET and the original Star Wars trilogy....jeez, could Indy Jones be next?)

If George Lucas had anything to do with TMNT, it would end up being another Howard The Duck.

Well I mus say one thing here. Lucas by himslef can't make a good Star Wars movie anymore. The first 2 movies were so good because of the producer[Gary Kurtz If I recall right]. Because of him Empire strikes back was so dark and by far the best Star Wars to date.

But George Lucas didn't like the outcome of the Empire, and thats why Kurtz wasn't involved in Jedi. If he was, it would have been a totally diffrent movie, bot a copy of New hope. In an interview Kurtz said that acording to original plans there wouldn't have been another Death Star and Han Solo would have died. Lucas had many arguments with the director too and thats why he choosed a director for Jedi that wouldn't disagree with him.

Put all those things together, and look what happened. Ewoks regined. Still Jedi managed to be a good movie, but It could have been a lot better.

But now he is directing the movies completely himself, and Episode 1 became a totally disney movie[OOPS! [i]Anakin after destroying the space ship]. Episodes 2 was clearly better, but the movie had some really bad dialogue... The action scenes were pretty nice tough.

Well I hope Episode 3 would become a very good movie, But after seeing Episode 1 and 2, I have hard time in believing that it will happen.

Knowing what Ep 3 will be like (if you've known Lucas' plans all this time), it'll be very dramatic and action-packed. Only problem is that Hayden and Natatlie will be back one last time :o :o :o

About the previous director "disagreeing" with him, I think it was more along the lines of "he wanted to rewrite something that was practically set in stone by Lucas many years ago when he was still in high school."

Well as you can see, it was better that way. Well If Lucas will be writing the screen play for episode 3, It will probably be pretty much like episode 2. Well No one can know for sure.

Hmm... I dunno if he'd be good with the TMNT. I remember hearing that Raimi is a Spidey fanboy, which really helped put the film together. What we need is a director who's a TMNT fanboy/girl and knows the history of the characters. ;)

If not Steve Barron, then I'd go for Mark Steven Johnson (Daredevil director).

Thank goodness Jedi happened the way it did. I know everyone loves Empires(my least fave, way too depressing) but man. Seeing Jedi in theatres when I was 5, best damn movie experience ever. I consider it the most epic, profound, and greatest of all the Star Wars movies.

Episode Three...well if its more of the same as Episode One and Two we can write the series off here and now. If he plans to change directions, like how he did with Jedi...then it could be good. But will it be epic?
Episode One: watchable, enjoyable...a bit too little for the 16 year wait.
Episode Two: Good, some epicness...but was it *truly* epic. I mean look how fast it came and went and onto dvd. It got beat by the spider in box offcie receipts alone.
