Am I the only one who thinks he serves no purpose anymore? I dont see how his character can go anywhere from this point so I think he should just be sent to live with the utroms his true family. Its not the turtles are not family too its just that I think he would be happier with the utroms. What do you guys think?

He's gotta be good for atleast one more episode. Mabey they could send him to the future and then he could live with the utroms (they do live for a really long time, right?)

There's plenty of LH stories they havn't adapted yet let's wait and see.

As Leatherhead is one of my favorite characters, I think it would be a shame to have him written out of the series.

He can decide to dress up in Cajun clothes, take a job in tech support, and tell the callers that his name is Jess Harley.

Just kidding, everyone.

I can see how he would fit into more stories. Even if it is just making cameos.

wasn't he around when the tmnt were trying to shut down shredder in Exodus part 1? He could still be the much needed brawn for such cases.

I feel like the writers dont even care about him that much. Season four is a good example. We never find out how he survived that fall in Exodus. He was nowhere to be seen when Karai invaded the lair. We dont know whether he still lives in the sweres or with the tmnt. And he suddenly pops up in good genes as if nothing happened. Plus he didnt even have a mention in season 5 or 6. He should have been seen in the journal and the last episodes of season 5. Its sad to say but the writers mistreat him.

They used him for extra muscle in Good Genes as well. Although I found it odd that he did not appear in Enter the Dragons part one or two. The tmnt recruited all kinds of muscle to deal with Shredder but for some reason LH wasn't even in those eps.

Anyway to answer the question, there is still much potential for LH. I think they should definately write him some more eps. Perhaps a new comic adaptation. Such a great character should be utilized. As far as LH goes, I would rather have too much than not enough, and we have definately not seen enough of him.

I agree in that I'd rather too much than not enough LH. I may be wrong, but his role in the series feels more natural and fitting than some of the other occasional characters like, say Silver Sentry. It just feels like he fits in well with the turtle's group.

I can understand why he wasn't included in the enter the dragons parts.. didn't they have enough characters on the go?

I think they should give him a big cheif hat and give him his own cooking show.

But it's Leatherhead. Probably the best secondary character! My opinion is biased thought I'll admit. LH rocks.

I also think the character is great.

I know; his potential was wasted in these past two seasons. Watching Day of Awakening, I said to my brother:

Oh, sure, your favorite character (Bishop) shows up THREE TIMES in Fast Forward, but mine doesn't even get a mention!?!

I think he should stop saying "I'm a monster" and start saying "UT!!!" (If you have the Archie Comics, you know what I mean... epecially if you have the Random House book and cassette).

Actually, I think they could use him a lot more in other episodes when they come home from the future. I'd love to see more of him in future episodes...

We need more LH, but it does seem to me like he's run out of stuff in the comics, too. What more can they possibly adapt into 2K3?

Ninjinister

Well, the first Leatherhead issue was actually split into two episodes. Plus, we haven't gotten Leatherhead with an eyepatch yet in the series.

Makes me sad that I never got my hands on one of the 2K3 Leatherhead figures :(

Anyway, who knows? Maybe instead of Simultaneous or Renet like the popular opinion states, perhaps it's Leatherhead that brings the Turtles back from 2105.

Hey! That is a good idea!

I never thought of it before, but it seems just as likely! (And like a darn good way to bring back my favorite scaled mutant!)

Thats the problem. Leatherhead can be in more stories but it seems like the writers dont want to use him. He should get as much screen time as Casey and April but he is reduced to Silver Sentry and Usagi level.

Silver Sentry gets more screen time then LH sadly.

I think the problem is the stories involving him don't go along with the massive arcs their doing.

The thing that really pisses me off is he's not in the finial battle in Season 5.

Touche, you make a good point. Also LH could have helped with his brain-smarts. It's not like he's solely a muscle character or anything.

Right on. Bishop even said that LH is smarter than Stockman in "Good Genes"

I always saw LH as a very complex character, sort of reminding me of Beast from "X-Men." It's a tragedy that more hasn't been done with him...

Yeah, he looks cool, he has a cool voice, the whole character just rocks.
It would be a shame to let him go into mutant retirement. :s

Maybe he got really depressed cuz the turtles didn't call him to hang out or whatever and drank himself to death or caused his home to collapse. The the four turtles were then guilt ridden after his demise and vowed never to mention his name out of shame.:(
Either that or the writers just don't like using him. That would've been cool to see him in season five though.
