LOTR Toy

I went to Zellers at lunchtime to pick up some stuff we needed around the house, and I went to the toy section to see if there was by chance any TMNT stuff, but still, no luck. Anyways, they had every figure of the LOTR2 series, so i bought Aragorn, since its the first time ive seen him cuz other ppl buy all the figs >_< So when I took him home, I opened him up, and OMFG does he suck! LOL! $11.49 he cost, and he is worth $4.99, if that. Its made by "grand" or "toy biz" i dno which one, but yea. The one I have his foot is all deranged and facing inwards, and his jacket is almost ripping off, ALREADY! The bow takes ALOT of force to put in his hand, and the sword is I SWEAR 1-1.5mm thick, so it bends like crazy. But he'll just be for display, so its ok. The really cool thing tho is that he really shoots arrows, something that Splinter and Foot Soldier need;) If you havent fallen asleep, and are still reading this, cya later :lol:

Um... do all the LotR figures suck? I was thinking about getting some of those, but if they suck...

I dno, but I dont really like any of the other characters from series 2, so i wont be getting any more;)

Hmm... I've got a Legolas action figure from the Two Towers series. I think it's pretty awesome. I agree, though, that the bow is hard to put in his hands. My only other gripe is the cape he's wearing... I'm afraid that it'll break and come off. But I'm only using him for display, so I'm not too worried about that. Despite my two gripes, I think the figure is cool. Nice sculpt, great attention to detail, and good articulation.

Whoa.. dude! You must have gotten a messed up Aragorn or something. (Yeah, sometimes those poor overworked, underpaid toy makers fall asleep on the job, or something).

The only funky thing I noticed about my TTT Aragorn is that his face is painted so badly, he looks like Jesus in pain. :lol: But his feet, legs, and coat are okay. The sword is flimsy, but I like the bow n arrows better. And more importantly, he can stand on his own! I'm having problems getting my Sam and Frodo figures to stand (cause the hood and pack makes them top heavy).

I still say go get these figures. If you don't want to display or play with em, I'm sure they'll at least be great collectables. :D

LOL!! I like to inspect action figures before I buy them. I always look out for bad paint jobs. I went through three different Raphael figs before I found one that didn't have any weird paint specks on him.

Yeah.. I did that with the TT Aragorn too... did my best to pick the one with the best beard!

I couldn't do that with the TMNT figures so far, cause they were the ONLY ones of that name there. Oh well.

I found my Aragorn to be pretty good (Except his fword (Floppy sword slang term I use sometimes.)) But they could've done better with Viggo's face. :|

I wouldn't know about the Hobbit figures yet, since I just started to collect the figures. (I have Aragorn, Gandalf the Grey, White, Saruman, Treebeard, and Sauron. I'm hoping to pick up the deluxe fellowship gift pack!)

heh.. I'm a poor (or is that cheap) LotR fan. So far I just got the figures of the chars I really like. (Hobbits, Aragorn, Legolas, Rohirrm soldier) I like Gandalf and Shadowfax too... but the shadowfax horse looks... mrh. I like horses that look more like horses. Heh...

I might pick that up for a better GTW figure and Shadowfax...even though I need a Nazgul Rider. :lol:
