If Ninja Turtles ever ended?

Okay here is a question for you all. If Laird just out of the blue decide's to end the Turtles how would you react?

Would you be mad, Sad, Angry, or just shrug it off and be happy the turtles made it this far?

Now this is just a what if question so please do not get mad at me for asking.

I'd take it like a man and accept it. I have a feeling it would return anyway one day. But seriously, it's bound to end one day. The earth is going to hit the sun in a few billion years..it's inevitable.

Didn't TMNT already temporarily "end" after the Image Comics and Next Mutation were cancelled?

After that they didn't come back till Volume 4 started in Dec. 2001 and then the new toon in 2003. There was already a time with no new Turtle anything. *shudder*

If it ended forever, I would have lost one of two things that is keeping me sane right now.

I think TMNT will continue even after Laird is gone in some form or another. TMNT though it hasn't been around as many years has proven itself to have a Batman/Superman/Spider-Man level staying power. Someone somewhere will want to revive it someday.

And if all else fails, there's always fanfic.

i think i'd feel like WTF, literally. wouldn't make me like'm any less...they'll never really die imo. nothing ever really "ends" once it's been started...matter can't be created nor destroyed! but really, they'll go on one way or another, with or without him.

It would be a good memory. And I would still be a fan of them. It would remain one of my fandoms just like Magic Knight Rayearth, Carrusel, and Captain Planet.

Well, my main and favorite tmnt-universe has allready ended 11 years ago.
And i'm still breathing. :)

what could get them into that staying power level like batman/sipderman and others.theres gotten be a another solution so our boys dont go into that direction...i mean ended.sorry i cant live in world where turtles ended it would be to boring without them.

I want tmnt to last at least a few more incarnations and honestly I don't see that as being out of the question. I have come to realize that being from a small town that the comics are hard to find. It would do wonders for the franchise if the comics were advertised and distributed like DC, IMO.

Anway, if tmnt must die, I would rather see it go down with honor, the bushido way. If TNM had been the end... wow that would have been the worst. Death comes for us all, but hopefully tmnt will die with honor. A strong comic and tv finale to send them off would be the way I would want to see them go out.

Personally, I'm sure that if it all ended now with the new film and FF, we would have a few years of nothing, and then someone somewhere would reignite the flame... it's the way of the industry.

I would miss the turtles of course, but I would still have my dvds and could watch them whenever I felt like it.

I don't know what will happen when Peter Laird dies (which, I'm sure won't happen any time soon) but maybe he will leave the creative rights to someone who will treat the turtles well and continue to make the comics / series with the respect required.

If TMNT ended, I would hope that the comics rights would be bought by a company that would really market and push the old stuff to new readers. Like if say TMNT was discontinued, I would like to see Marvel or DC buy the rights and start publishing trades. There are enough nostalgic people out there to make sure those books sold.

So if TMNT ended in its current incarnations, I would be content if someone was there to make sure the older Mirage comics were still available for new readers.
