At my store today I looked up the two new TMNT DVDs coming out to see if we had got them yet.

We had 4 FF DVDs and 5 Old Toon ones. By the way the FF DVD is WICKED looking and the old toon has the coolest box ever for a DVD.

Anyways it says the release date for both is sometime early June. The system is wrong obviously but because of this I could legally take them and purchase them. Meaning if you ask for them and they look it up and have it*Which at this point all stores should* then they HAVE to sell it to you. Be stern some of them might have to dig in the new release boxes to find it*That's what I did haha* but some stores might have just put it out.

See all the people who do receiving are supposed to check release dates before putting DVDs in the new release area so if your Best Buy's did that then you have the DVD already probably. If your best buy has an idiot doing receiving or a new person like my store they just assumed the whole box was new release*Boxes come with new release tags that say hold till set date*

Anyways go to you BB's and demand the DVD if you want it early. It's rare system errors like this occur.

If you think they won't get it from the back if you go in and ask dot.com order it. They are required to tear the store apart for dot.com orders if they have the product in the system so they WILL get it for you.

I'm going to go and try to get the Season 5 DVD from Best Buy. Most of the workers there just go and look on their computer, which basically looks like the Best Buy website and it says the release date on there, Aug 7th. They had the FF V2 DVD out, but not the Season 5 yesterday.

There's several different ones I can try to look at, but if it doesn't work can you tell me exactly what the best way to tell these idiots to get me the DVD from the back would be?

If it's accidentally put out early is one thing. But rather doubtful they would 'go get it for you' if it isn't supposed to be out yet just because 'you demand it'.

I went to the closest store, and I figured that I wouldn't be able to get it. They have 5 copies of it there, but it says on the system of the Aug. 7th street date and they can't sell it to me. It's just a waste of time trying this. The only way to get it is if it's on the shelf early.

there's no law written that just because they would have it in stock, they MUST give it to you. ONLY if it is on the shelves they do. If it's on the floor, it's for sale.

Best Buy in my area of Minnesota put out the Fast Forward V2 DVD early, so I was able to buy that. I really wanted the Season 5 DVD early if anything. So far, I've found the FF V2, Old Toon Season 4 and Season 1 Part 1 DVD early on the shelves at Best Buy.

I may check some other locations for the Season 5 DVD, but I guess if Tuesday is when I get it, then so be it. I took that day off just because of all the TMNT releases coming out.

I'd rather get TMNT Season 5 after Sunday so I can get it for Circuit City's sale price of $17.99. Or at least price-match it since Best Buy's price is $5 more. That and I don't care as much for the original series. I just recently reached the halfway point on the Season 4 DVDs. :p

And my DVDs have not arrived yet :( I could have used them today. My immune system acted up this morning, my GI tract has been acting up since lunch, and I got hit by a car (but my car had zero damage and hers only had a small dent).

Oh well, at least I did TWO hours of martial arts today. And Jason David Frank (as in the green Power Ranger) was instructing one of those sessions at AFO.

And this is a sidenote to your summary of the day's events? :o

Sorry guys they must have corrected the system cause I wouldn't have bothered posting this if I didn't think it would help you guys get it early as well.

I know this has happened in the past but I didn't expect them to correct something like this espcially so close to it's actual release. 6/5/07 is what it said in the computer the day I bought it and believe me had it said otherwise I would have put it back because people have gotten fired for doing that before and I'm not about to be one of those people over two turtles DVDs.

Glad some of you still got some stuff early but it's a bummer they fixed it I was really hoping it'd stay like that.

That's why I said to dot come order it because no matter where in the store we have it they have to find it and give it to you. Rather it be in the back or not. If it's in a box of unreceived DVDs and we have to receive them right away to fulfill the order. It's a loop hole, and I was hoping it was going to work out for you guys but it didn't so again sorry for you who wasted a trip.

Considering they came out yesterday, how much longer do you think we can expect to see them on the shelves? Considering they put crappy movie special editions and new TV shows out first.

I held back on watching FF Vol 1 until Vol 2 was released. Now I've watched the first three unaired episodes today. I liked them all, especially "Head of State" (of course). And I didn't enjoy many of Vol 1's episodes. I found it a little odd that they quickly switched the order of "Day Of Awakening" and "Zixxth Sense" on the 2nd disc, then didn't have enough time to fix the episode listing on the inner cover to reflect it. Nonetheless, I'll be watching them in their correct order, thank you very much. :P

Awhile, these DVDs don't see like mad. Well 2K3 ones anyways, the old toon ones do but they get replenished all the time.
