I was looking at Mirage's catalog the other day and realized all but about 7 of the Image books are SOLD OUT! Weird, when about two months ago they were all there. I've looked around at different places and have not found any for sale either.
Was the print run on the Image series rather low, and now you've got people clamoring to snatch them up or what?

Wow, you're exactly right. They had the entire Image series for sale for the longest time and just recently I could have sworn all of them were available for purchase.
That's crazy for so many to be sold out, did you e-mail and ask Dan about this?

They all sold out, guys, except for Issues #3-8. Sucks, don't it? I kept sorta screwing around and thinking I'd get around to ordering--and then I couldn't.
I hear Lone Star Comics has a lot of Image TMNT for sale. If you find any Image somewhere, please let us know.
Does anyone else find it amusing that Volume 3 (noncanon) is practically sold out while Volume 4 (canon) still has 26 issues available?

Not really. The Image comics have been available for a long time, and they only just now sold out. Frankly, I'm a little surprised it took them this long to do so. Besides, we don't know how many copies were printed for each series, so it's nigh impossible to compare them.
Out of curiosity, did any of the Image comics get a reprint, or were they all first prints?

They were all first prints. Well, #1 had an exclusive ChicagoCon cover, but that doesn't really count.

Eh, the Image series never sold all that well when it was first coming out. There was something in the letter pages about how Kevin and Peter had to take money out of their own pockets just to keep the series afloat at one point.
Not to mention the whole reason the comic was canned after 23 issues was because it didn't make its required profits. Kind of a shame, because I did enjoy the Image series and would have liked a more complete ending.
But oh well, when you're into the Turtles, you get used to things getting cancelled and not having endings.

It was me who cleaned them out because after I bought all the issues I needed they didn't show up.
Pissed me off I ordered them all*It said they had them all* and then when they sent me my comics like 6 were missing so I've been trying to hunt them down. I'm still missing some.

Would like to see a scan of the cover, if you have it available.

Hey Guys...
I just ordered all the issues from vol.3 from mycomicshop.com (lone star comics) and grahamcrackers.com ... all the issues except #1 & #10, I already have #1 but #10 wasn't available either of the places or anywhere else... lone star comics have quite alot in stock, the chicago con cover included... http://www.mycomicshop.com/megastore/search?pcat=Comics%2DAll&til=5959
and Graham Crackers did aswell, http://www.grahamcrackers.com/shopping/shopdisplayproducts.asp?page=4 The ones I ordered went out of stock after I confirmed my order but I send them a mail, when I saw this thread, in which I wrote:
Yeah thanks alot...
But since the comics series is over 10 years old it's not likely that the issues which are out of stock will ever get in stock again or is it ?
thx in advance
Søren Jochumsen, Denmark
and to this he replied:
Hi -
It is likely. Just click on 'add to my WANT LIST' and we'll e-mail you immediately once the book is back in stock.
You will NOT be commited to buying it - we'll just let you know once it comes back in.
We go to about 40 different conventions a year constantly restock our 'out of stock' product - so it's very likely.
thanks
So there's a little hope... :)
www.milehighcomics.com have also got some but they're quite expensive IMO
Do you know if there is any reason at all that issue #10 is absolutely untraceable, is there anything special about this issue ???

No, nothing particularly special about the issue. Savage Dragon appearance and the continuation of previous stories. I imagine its just a bit of bad luck you not finding it.

Lucky! I can't find #10 either. I think Savage fans like the cover or somethin'. It is pretty cool.

I found a trade of the first Image issues at the Comic-Con a few years ago. Never got around to reading it, though.
I used the Internet Archive site one time to look at the official site, and saw that they had the Mirage Vol. 1 trade in stock back in 1999. Now why didn't my TMNT nostalgia start earlier?:x
