Alrighty, I'm bored. Time for a poll.

I love the main lair from 2k3, it had the elevator thing to the warehouse, and it's just really cool. My runner up would be the lair from the first movie, it was so grungy, yet awesome. Bronze goes to the OT lair.

The main lair was awesome! I mean- It had it's own backstory.. It was all magical... Looked awesome.. What else could you want?

Original cartoon lair, it was just so "simple" looking as if it were an apartment, and it didn't have any fancy stuff for the most part. I always found it amusing they had a Stop sign on their wall for some reason. :p

Actully they are...at least the connection between the movies and next mutation they talked about it in interview for the show.
Oh and I voted old toon I just always liked it. I also am learning things about myself as of late that like I'm more of an old toon fan than I had once realized.

I put the second 2k3 lair that had the two stories and was shown for the first four seasons. It kicked major arse. Every Turtle had a big room to himself. It had two stories, which granted even more space and privacy.

The newest one has honestly not been shown all thaaaat much. It does have the possibility of being turned into an awesome lair. But so far, most of the adventures have not shown it in great depth.

I noticed that specifically started after Attack of the 50 Foot Irma, when Michaelangelo fell through their bunks after Donatello sneezed. But still, their beds were in a tiny space and only, what, 5 feet away from each other, no doors, so they still practically "shared" a room.

I loved the lay out of the lair in season 1-4 of the atlatian fortress. It had cool designs and a little bridge and a pond. And it was so spacious and had other floors to it. It seemed like if you where in need of some alone time you could actually get away from every one. To bad it had to be destroyed, the new lair is so lacking. :dead:

I'm actually liking the lair in the 80's toon, it looks more realistic and down to earth and it looks more...tunnel-esch, which would make sence in sewer system. And I'm really digging the bedroom area the turtles have in the 80's toon. :)

I'm really not liking the new lair the turtles moved into in the middle of season four. I don't know why the show felt the need to move the turtles into a new lair. It seemed like it was just a plot device to feature a new lair and yet they didn't even show very much of the interier when they made the move. Does any one have any clear shot of the lair the turtles moved into in season four?

I actually realy liked the lair in the new CGI movie. It looked fun with the old school video games! It looked like something you would see at Chuck Cheese.

I like the lair from the 2K3 flashbacks (which is very similar to the first movie lair). It just seemed very cozy...

TMNT1 Home. Cos it was realistic looking, dirty and grungy and nasty like I'd imagine if it were the actual sewers. They did a great job with that set.

2nd the Subway lair. It still had that grungy feel with the tackiness of all their crap.

2K7 Movie was okay but tooooooo clean if that was the sewers! I can accept subway tunnels that are in disuse, not sewers for that one.

I thought the lair in the 2007 movie was the same subway seen in Turtles 2 and 3 only cleaned up, with added appliances and the like.

I really liked the old subway station lair from live action II and III but I always thought for some reason it may not be "hidden" enough. Some city official could say "Oh we should do something with that old subway train down there." lol
Other then that I love the main lair in 2K3.
I do see how the lairs do relate in the different versions

It's not supposed to make sense. Once that is established everything is easier.:) Yeah I loved that Subway Home, it would be awesome to live down there and just skate here and there and pretend like I'm conducting the train and...tons more stuff but I'm tired so yeah.

considering that the turtles live in a sewer I'd say they keep the place pretty clean, in both the 80's toon as well as the current toon, their lairs seem more cluttered than filthy. And any way I don't even think the turtles actually live in the sewers. I think they must live in the drainge pipes areas rather than the poop and pee infested sewer areas. :sick:

I voted for the 1st movie lair. It was damp and dark and cramped... Just seemed so right. Made even more sense for Raphael to risk getting seen just to get out of the house, you know?

I've always wondered how the turtles get anything runing through their lair, like clean drinking water, heat, cable. They really should have been cut off by now. :-?

I always imagined that they just rerouted all their electricity and water from some giant office building and nobody really noticed and assumed that the employees were using all of it.

That was a good point Jelly bean, they would need a Lair big enough to train in, especially if Splinter was trying to keep them from having to go above ground. I am sure they would utilize other parts of the sewers though

I went ahead with the old school one because in the 1st episode, april is sleeping in one of the sewer tunnels and when she looks at the other tunnels, you can see each one is personally laid out to the turtle's liking, even though the turtles sleep in bunkbeds.

They get new lairs but they never announce it or make a big deal about it. The joint got found like 4 times in the first 3 seasons.

I voted for the CGI movie lair. Yeah, it's suspiciously clean for sewer digs, but it's the neatest one (in my opinion). Nice kitchen, plenty of workspace for Don (including his Matrix-like computer station), ginormous workout room (complete with tatami mats!), trophy room, arcade games, big screen tv. I also like the bedrooms on the 2nd level with a rail, as opposed to the 2k3 lair with no railing (meep!). Watched "Modern Love: The Return of Nano" ep last night, and noted how the bedrooms didn't have doors. I know in the OT there were no doors, either, but teenage boys need their privacy!

Well, like I said: the didn't announce it but you can tell the difference. I mean, the mousers did find the lair in season 1, so it would make sense for them to move.

Can some one post me detailed screen caps of the 80's toon lair please? I'm trying to get an idea of the lay out of the lair because sometimes it doesn't seem consistant. In the 4KIDS cartoon the layout of the lair is very clear and you have a very good idea of where everything is and what rooms connect to each other. The 80's lair not so much. :-?
