They really piss me off, just like with the old Simpsons offers, no to Canada. I can see internationally overseas and all that, but at least make it a full North American offer, they're a big company. Playmates used to(seemingly) be great back in the day, but they suck with the way they run things now. That's one thing I like about McFarlane, they do everything direct through them, distribution and all.

I’ll have to figure out a way somehow, get someone too hook me up with an address. I'll wait until September to get Sloth, Shredder and Jungle Leo. They also have that Sea monster still they need to release.

I'm sure someone on here would be happy to get you one provided you send them three UPC's, $5.00 for shipping, the receipts, and money to forward the toy to Canada. As for me, I plan on getting several of these if possible. I'm sure some will pop up on e-bay also.

That be cool yea, I'll prob have too. We'll see. That's what I did with the Simpsons offer they had. Just used their address and then Paypaled them to cover the shipping when it came.

When I drive down to my home away from home in Florida in October I'll keep an eye out for Shredder, Sloth and Jungle Leo and whatever else may happen to come out by then and use those UPC codes, because unless its fixed, the stores here never order a thing because Spin Master distribution sucks.

So did anyone notice that you have to wait until 9/1 to purchase figures? I was excited because I have purchased about 8 or 9 so far, but I guess none of them qualify. So now I must buy three more...

Shredder, Jungle Leo, and Sloth Monster, HERE I COME! (on 9/1 that is...)

ARGH!!! I don't visit this site in a few days and then I see this new offer after buying all six of the new wave of figures YESTERDAY.

Is anyone planning on getting extra figures in September with which they won't be using the UPC codes for and would be willing to sell them (the UPC codes, not the figures) to me along with a copy of the receipt?

Many thanks if there is. I so want this figure, but I don't want to have to spend another $20 bucks or so on figures that I already have to do it!!!

It's the barcode. And yes, you have to cut it off.

Well, I actually was able to cut the barcode without completely opening the package. You actually can't tell at all that its been cut unless you look at it from the bottom. From every other angle, it looks perfectaly normal, definately suitable for hanging if thats your taste. So don't just rush and tear it open...take your time and it can be done. Of course, you'll know it's not "completely" MOC, but for me it's not that big a deal...

It is actually pretty easy to remove the UPC bar code with minimal visible damage to the figure with the current package designs. Playmates had this same type of mail in promo with their Simpsons World of Springfield line.

If you want to keep your figures MOC or as close to it as possible, take a good sharp knife or razor blade. Then make a small incision into the bottom panel around the three sides of the UPC. You can then remove the UPC and tuck the plastic flap that you have created back to close it up. The damage is minimal and only visible from the bottom.

Same, they're no fun if theyre in the box. I've got a shelf proudly displaying my Electric Mayhem figures out of the box and on their stage. I've got another shelf of TMNT toys. My old TMNT toys are in a Rubbermaid tub at my parents' place.

I sent away for TWO of them.

I wonder how long (realistically) it is really going to take Playmates to start getting these out. Everyday when I check my online bank statement, I check to see if the two checks have been cashed. Not yet, alas.

Can UPCs off of other TMNT toys (like the 2-packs with one turtle and one stone warrior) be used? I would think so, since those toys are much more expensive. Somebody oughta ask, unless it's clearly stated somewhere and I just haven't noticed.

I don't think I have any TMNT toys that fall into this category. Tokka does, though. He's an opener too and I REALLY had to work hard to convince him not to open one of his toys. He has a special edition version of one of the 2K3 Space Hopper toys that was sold by Playmates on eBay before the figures were released to stores.

The toys I have that fall into that category are Star Wars toys. I have a handful of the exclusive figures that were handily shipped in star cases, so I've left those as is and hung them on my wall. Also the two Separation of the Twins figures - although they weren't shipped in star cases, they look really nice in the packaging, so I haven't opened those (even though I bought a second Obi-Wan/Luke for the purpose of opening). I think I have a couple UGH Star Wars figures, too, which I also wouldn't open.

I must confess, I go mental if it is opened. I'm so anal that if I acidentally drop a box, I need to examine it to make sure there isn't the slightest damage. It's a sickness! :o

I am actually like that with virtually everything. It's so bad that if I get something home (like a DVD or a book or something) and find it to be damaged, I'll actually return it and then rebuy the same thing in better condition. I really don't think it's healthy, so I try to convince myself that it's not a big deal if it's not perfect.. I still usually end up doing the return thing, though.

For toys, since I do open virtually all of them, I don't care about the card, but I will pass on buying something if it's got a bad paint job.

Rose, i am the same way with DVD's. But isn't it sad that it usually takes 2 - 3 trips to buy one DVD because of the crappy condition things are produced in and shipped in? It really irks me!

We do not have a sickness...we expect perfect quality for the high prices (and overpriced usually) goods that we buy. There is nothing wrong with expecting our goods to be in the condition they should be but are not.

Yeah, I suppose. Although I do still think it's a little crazy.

Most recently I got the OT Season 5 set from online. There was a crease in the cardboard insert thing that hold up the pizza box. So I went to Target, bought a perfect version there, then a few days later returned the creased one to them.

It's been about two weeks now.

I figure that these are going to be somewhat valuable, and I'd like to have a few extras to sell at some point (which could happen early on if they are sky-rocketing on e-bay). I figure that if I'm going to be buying toys anyway, I might as well be sending in the UPCs since all we really have to pay is the $5.00 for shipping. It is still unclear (to me) as to whether or not the UPCs on the two-packs are legit, but I guess we'll find out soon enough, since I'll most likely be using those the next time around. I'm just glad that the checks have finally been cashed, because that must mean that the ball is rolling, no matter how slowly.

Chances are that as long as you send in any three UPC from some TMNT product, they would count it. If they truly meant to put limits on which ones qualified, they would state that. They have done it before. The Simpsons mail aways toward the end of the series required UPC from a specific series.

Just came from Target and TMNT figures were on sale for $5.99. I couldn't find the figures I was looking for but picked up 2 Foot Soldiers. I didn't see anything on the certificate about on-sale figures except "buy one, get one" so they should work, right?

Anyone know a site that sells the movie figures at least close to cost with a receipt? I only need 3 of the older ones (Winters, Vampire, April) but can't find them online or any stores near me.

so, did anyone download the voucher for the bigfoot from the website? i just did and it has a little survey, and the best part is: they ask what figures you would like so see, so everyone brainstorm! because i forget which figures i really wanted.... but i can try to remember
mini shredder clone
new foot elite
touch and go
utrom shredder
hamato yoshi from "a tale of master yoshi"
the other 4 foot mystics
ultimate drako
federation soldier
the rest of the monsters from the movie
foot ninja variants

wow i remember more than i thought...what do you think?

you have made some excellent choices especially for , touch and go, and the other foot mystics..although they have probably gone a little to far in the series to go back and make those...perhaps bringing in NECA, that might be a possibility and they will consider that... altough they seem to have their heads on their shoulders a bit more than "playmates" and their played out idea's and lack of creativity..i guess you have to ask yourself does playmates think the higher demand of tmnt toys come from kids or the older generation of fans which obviously are more interested in the paint job and articulation vs the playability, or from the new generation of fans which are more interested in play....for the most part i'm just excited to see what NECA comes up with, although i'm still looking forward to playmates's new line as well..
I was thinking maybe bringing in neca would be a bad thing for playmates but i have contacted playmates and they have stated that as far as their concerned they still have a contract with mirage and have no expectation of that ending any time soon..neca is just yet another company with license to produce the fig's, i personally think that they will give playmates a run for their money and playmates will have to step up their game...
But back to the bigfoot offer i think they should do a poll of the most wanted characters never released and have an offer like this and the shredder mail away offer, for the winner of the poll...this way if the winner is a character from the old series they wont have to worry about it not being popular with the kids from this generation, because odds are the only fans that will send out for the offer and enter the poll will be fans from the older series...

I was also hoping they would produce some more movie figures with the same detail they put into the older style movie figs..i personally think that the cgi movie deserves a figure with the same detail...............
A while back i saw a Giant leonardo from the 2k3 series on the tmnt website that i assume was a prototype that didn't get picked up, it looked to be about 3 feet tall.......That would be awesome!!! They should definitley do some more lifelike figures as well as a "Giant Shredder" i mean come on all this time and no giant shredder...maybe even a splinter, i know they had a Giant april prototype that didn't get picked upas well.. which playmates sent me a pic of from the prodution catalog..if anyone wants to see of pic of this just let me know and i will search for the pic....Also some Giant Fast Forward figures would be cool......

I sent away for my Bigfoot right on the first, but I'm sending out for another one on Monday. I think I can be satisfied with 2, but I'm almost thinking about a third. I know it's just because I'm mentally ill, but I can't help it. I definetely need one for the shelf and one to keep in the package, but why not another one just for sh*ts and giggles?

And oh jeez, yes, the generic white box is definetely part of the package. Look at the old star wars mail-aways. They are worth so much more if you can get them still sealed in the box with the address label and everything. It drives me nuts when sellers say they opened it "just to verify the contents". (Buy an X-Ray machine! hehehe, j/k)

It's still not like I'm ever going to wanna sell my figs, but isn't it just fun to have bragging rights?

Well, you could just remove the UPC but still keep the figure in box and sell it that way...some collectors probably don't care if its gone (esp with the movie figs and how you can remove it without doing any noticeable damage)...

So I mailed out for my second Bigfoot today... but I got to wondering about something.

When I went to Wal-Mart to buy my second round of figs, they only had two that I wanted to buy, Surveillance Don and Extreme Mikey. I'd already bought all the really good new ones, and they didn't have any of the first wave left. I wasn't about to buy one of the Street Grinders. They get my vote for worst TMNT fig ever.

So I trundled down the road to Kay-Bee but about all I could get there was a Nightwatcher. Happy days because I didn't have one yet and I can't find them anywhere else but Ebay. I had to pay $17, when I knew I missed them on clearance at Wal-Mart for $10, but what can you do?

But here's what I'm wondering...

I see that "Buy One Get One" figures are excluded, and not having paid much attention to movie figs till now, I'm not even sure what those are. I also noticed that the UPC code for Nightwatcher, unlike the rest of them, does not have the stock # on it. So is it somehow ineligible for the offer?

This all probably amounts to nothing, but I'm just curious. The Playmates site doesn't tell me much.

Hey everyone!

I just mailed out all my forms and gathered up all my UPC Symbols to get 3 Bigfoot figures... I will be buying one more figure, just for the heck of it, so I can get one more UPC Symbol to send away for another Bigfoot. I know that sounds crazy and all, but I TOTALLY lost out on the Super Shredder Chef Boyardee figure way back when that one came out... so, I am not making that mistake again! I mean, have you seen how much that figure is going for on Ebay nowadays? Somewhere around $85 bucks the last time I even saw an auction for one of them... This is only my second post on the site, so I am honored to be among great people here! - Chris.

Which could lead to all of these going for big bucks on ebay which I'm sure is the reason people are buying more than 2.

And you complain that Putrescent's stuff is expensive, atleast his stuff is actually rare. These toys aren't even OUT yet. Jesus your the reason collectors have so much trouble getting stuff. You guys buy like 500 of one figure so people who want just one can't even have one. Then you sell it for 90 times it's worth on Ebay. I wish I had the money to blow on crap like this. It's one thing if a Bigfoot is sold on ebay for $300 in 20 years but right now $20 is stupid! The toy is not that hard to come by from Playmates, as far as I know.

I don't see this being any more rare than Simpsons Sinclair and Cooder. If they had leftover of them, I'm sure they'll have a LOT more leftover of this.

The TMNT line, nothing against it, is no Simpsons when it comes to demand and line popularity.

Agree, I cant keep them in packaging unless its collector friendly and can be taken out and put back in, but even then I usally just keep my card backs in a big box. To me it's a waste. Anyone can just keep them the way they are on the pegs at the store, it doesnt take much to do that. I like to make nice displays and set-ups outta them. To me keeping them MOC, might as well just take a picture of them when I see them on the wall at the store and glue it to my wall at home. I dont want my displays to look like Wal-Mart, they need to be out striking a pose and kickin' shell on display. That's me though, every collector's different......

I sent for my 2nd Bigfoot today, and the check from the first one has been cashed. I recently came across a large amount of the mini movie action figures for cheap and was wondering if the UPCs can be used in this offer. If so, I won't feel bad for asking the cashier to give me 4 different reciepts, lol. I also wonder if they would put a limit on the amount of orders shipped to a particular address. If anyone knows if these will work, or not, please let me know.

I just sent Play mates an e-mail, does any one know the answer to these questions, since I assume they will just send me a canned e-mail as a response.

Hi, in the Bigfoot offer, the text states that the UPC codes from (3) TMNT figures must be sent in with receipt and that it does not include buy one get one free deals.

My question is when it says TMNT does it mean just the toys from the movie or would UPC codes from TMNT Fast Forward also be acceptable to get the Bigfoot.

Also, the TMNT Fast Forward are on clearance at my local Wal-Mart, would these be accepted as valid UPC codes since they are on sale and not buy one get one free?

And, do the items have to be all on one receipt or can they be from separate stores, please send me and answer.

Thanks

Okay, maybe the FF wouldn't work because it is not movie related, but what about the MINI movie TMNT. Those are only a buck, and I asked for seperate reciepts. I sent 3 mini movie TMNT UPC's in for the offer because I thought I would find out if it works better by just doing it, and not questioning it. I'll let you know what happens with that. As far as if they need to be on the same reciept, no. Rule #4 states: "Send your dated cash register receipt(s) (or photocopy(s) with the purchase price(s) circled). Reciepts must be dated 9/1/07 - 12/31/07." The fact that they say reciepts twice leads me to believe that you could buy 3 different toys from 3 different stores and use 3 different reciepts. I hope that helps.

For those who are still looking to get the figures for the Big Foot offer, Toys R Us has their TMNT figures on sale with a buy two get one free sale. The free toy won't work for the Big Foot offer. But the other two should qualify. I used figures from this same type of sale at Toys R Us for the two Big Foot figures I ordered and received them.

Thanks for the heads up, bro. I will take advantage of it and it still does come in handy for the Big Foot offer in my case, as cutting the UPCs off is unacceptable in my world, ha.

I just got mine today. Now that I have it, I don't want to open it. I usually open all my figs, but something is telling me to leave it in the box. I ordered 2 more. I used mini figure UPC's for one, and Nightwatcher/Generals UPC's for the other. This first one I got, I used regular Movie action figs. I'll keep you posted on if the Mini figs work or not.

I was at Toys R Us yesterday and I noticed they started putting stickers on the stunt rider boxes advertising the exclusive Big Foot and telling people to go to playmatestoys.com for more details. More publicity may mean less stock so I just wanted to throw that out there.

Figures aren't selling as well, though. Wal-Mart has them on clearance (picked up a Surveillance Don that I've already resold for $10 ). Will probably order my ninth Big Foot later today...

I've ordered five more and am ordering at least two more after that. One I am reserving for myself, another for this lady (http://www.behindthemasks.com/greenwillow), and someone else here already asked me if I could provide one. I'd be happy to reserve one for you as well, just know that it could be six to eight weeks before I have it, and that I'm going to want at least $30 for it including shipping because I have to cover the losses I'm taking when I resell the toys that the UPCs came off of.

In that case, I'd rather spend the $30 on 3 more toys for me plus the bigfoot for free. Thanks anyways.

Playmates made you buy the figures?

Yes, they did. They've had me brain-washed into buying their toys since the late eighties. :P
