Rainbow Foot Soldiers

Does anybody else wish that Playmates would have made all kinds of crazy-colored Foot Soldiers, like in the TMNT arcade/NES/SNES/Genesis games? I know some people only like them purple, but I always got a kick out of them being red, orange, blue, white, etc.

Yea I liked it too, but when you think about it, they most likely wouldn't have sold. I do remember when I was little a freind of mine had a teenage brother who custom painted about 4 of his foot soldiers, but he wouldn't let us play with them :lol:

Oh yeah, I totally would have wanted white and orange ninjas. I just didn't really like how they were slumped over. Are they suppose to be that way?:D

classic purple all the way for me...though the robotic ones that came out later were pretty cool...

red w/throwing stars

Red was shuriken
White was katana
Pink was spear
Green was on a hover board
Blue was riding bolders or throwing heavy objects
Teal was throwing daggers

I think that's it.

In Turtles In Time I think it was
Blue Katana, Axe
Purple fists
Yellow crazy annoying spiked Frisbee thing, bombs
Green Arrows
Orange Scissors, ball and chain
Red Sheild

And then the rock soldiers had all the ray guys and such. I might have forgotten some.

You did forget an important one though, the white foot soldier. I think they had nunchucks or something. Blue also had a sword. Orange also had just fists sometimes too.

I'd love me some multi colored foot soldiers, but they'd have to look more like the game than the caroon/original toy. No hunchback and more human looking. Give them some decent articulation and do the turtles and some bosses in the same video game style and I'd buy them all.

Actually, that would be cool if they did have army builder set packs of the Foot, colored video game style, each with their respective weapons.

It wouldn't have been too expensive to produce, since most of the weaponry already existed.

I agree I made a bunch of these years ago using movie foot soldiers I only have one left now though one a painted green with splinters bow and arrow set from movie star splinter.
