Okay, I'm in a computer lab on campus and have no headphones with me right now. What's the general idea behind his idiocy?

Ha wtf. Wow I won't bash him since he will probably get enough of that in high school but... interesting thoughts to say the least. First he called the OT hallow, and later he says the OT blows the new movie out of the water. whatever kid

I think he called the NT hollow, but I'm really hoping he saw a Fast Forward episode. But saying the OT has better plots than the NT is flat out wrong (and yes, I understand the one can like the OT better, but better plot is not a valid reason)

Well, if someone prefers one version over the other more power to them. I like the first five episodes of the OT more than the first several episodes of 2k3. But, to call 2k3 hollow in comparison to the OT is rather odd... especially with my recent purchasing of Season 5 of the OT.

I like how some people in here are calling this kid an idiot (when all he did was state an opinion, even if it was stated awkwardly), when they can't even type properly themselves.

Classic.

Um dude I quoted you as you originally typed that. But yeah Edit Buttons are good ;)
I always find it funny when people get on others cases about spelling and punctuation on message boards they themselves end up becoming a victim of the typo monster.

Point is, give the kid some slack. He doesn't say anything outlandishly ridiculous and we all have our dumb moments.

that's true...
i remember one time, my friend prank called the police from his house, i told him how the police can track his number, he didn't care and thought it was an urban legend or a rumor or something... the police showed up at his door 20 minutes later when THE WHOLE FAMILY was eating dinner... good thing i went home before then.

NINJA TURTLES = SERIOUS BUSINESS.

Seriously people - this kid's just stated his opinion. No need to go apesh*t on him. I would even say he just stated the obvious. TMNT 1987 was pretty well written and amusing whereas TMNT 2K3 or 2K7 ain't that frigging deep or touching adult-oriented themes for crying out loud - and some of you seems to present them like that.

I'd also say that the very first season of the old toon was rather dark. That pilot season hooked me. The next couple seasons were weak compared to the first season. Then... The Red Sky episodes. Things were much darker with newer villains. The Red Sky episodes were the best.

I think that fighting humans instead of robots, and using the weopons as something besides pizza cutters makes it more adult oriented.

But hell with OT and NT. They aren't the comic. The comic is the real thing. I love all versions (aside from Next Mutation) but the comic comes first.

Thanks God at least you haven't mentioned tough brotherly relations between Raph and Leo.

He'll grow up eventually, and he'll probably look back and feel embarassed, so I'm not going to add any fuel to the fire. Like someone said, we all have our moments. Just now with the internet, it's like permanently up for everyone to see :p

I've never watched the NT and thought "wow, this is adult. OHH! That was bold. What gripping entertainment." Overall its probably better because it was designed to tell longer stories with ongoing arcs and wasnt written as individual one shot episodes where one thing never really effected another in the long run. The NT is loved by fans who loved the Turtles more than casual fans to begin with. I dont think if you showed the NT to someone who hasnt cared about the TMNT since they were a kid that they would be too inclined to care about them now. Its not going to sell anybody on the idea that the Turtles are relevant. Its not that its so adult, just that it fleshes things out for fans who care about the characters.

AFAIcantell, that was the definition of a video blog (aka 'boredom-log'). To ridicule such would be beneath me. To criticize is another matter. But, I won't. He's getting enough of that from elsewhere.

I answered the kid's question and told him which I liked better. I'm not going to denounce his opinion, since I believe it is the right of every fan to have an opinion. Besides, he can't be any older than my little sister, and if he is then boy is he developing late.
