Would it be possible to make a list of TMNT comics that have been adapted into 2k3 storylines. Either directly, or indirectly.
So far, I think there would be:
Mirage Volume 1:
1-8, 10-11
Survivalists
The Unmentionables
The People's Choice
Sons of the Silent Age
Return to New York
City at War
Kirby and the Warp Crystal
What goes around comes around
Me, myself, and I
The Christmas Aliens
Tales volume 1 1-6 (all except for Complete Carnage and Radical)
Volume 2's Darpa was adapted to be Earth Protection Force and Bishop
I know that in "The Darkness Within" features a Raphael afraid of becoming Shredder, which did happen in the Image comics. But AFAIK nothing else happens adapted from Image.
Would Fast Forward be considered to be the 2k3 adaptation of Volume 4?
Also, would "Same as it never was" be based on certain events happening in Archie? Or would that be FF?

I was under the impression that Same As It Never Was was based more on Image than anything. Sort of a tribute to fans of that series since nothing else from that series was adapted, as far as I know.

You know.... listing and compiling these into a big list is a great idea.
Let us not forget the Tales of the TMNT Leatherhead comic that was adapted as well.

Wow, that is awesome. Thank you so much. Excellent job. I remembered later that night (I went to bed VERY early) about Raph's story from "Challenges".
You bet I'll be going to the official website now to read every one of those comic synopses.

Ep 120 "Home Invasion": Guest appearance by Michael Doony's Wild West C.O.W. Boys of Moo Mesa.
Moo Mesa is Ryan Brown's, not Michael Dooney's. 8)

And the best part is that there are still plenty of stories that can be adapted into episodes. Especially from Tales Volume 2. They don't even have to happen chronologically in the same order.
Plus many original storylines of the 2k3 cartoon are magnificent- such as the whole "Ninja Tribunal" season.
Translation- PLEASE don't kill off Splinter!!! I have seen characters die in other cartoons- but NEVER a main one. Anime does not count. Anime where the main characters die in the last episode do NOT count- as much as I LOVE Rose of Versailles, TMNT is a very different thing.

Not too long, actually. I have a knack for obsessive list-making.

I was wondering if the psychic attack in "Bad Day" is based on the psychic attack in "Souls Winter". I know that Souls Winter is not canon- but it is still a similar style of attack.

Now I'm wondering if there's anything in the Ninja Tribunal season that was taken from the original Mirage comics.
