Yeah looks pretty cool, but is it just me or could this be the Mirage intro of the 2K3 series character Bishop, or someone very similar to him? Not that I don't mind, I think its pretty cool when there are parallels in the various TMNT universes...

I have always loved Dan Berger's "shouting character" images.
Tho in my book the best shouting character artist is Humberto Ramos ( Spectacular Spider-man, Revelations, Civil War Wolverine, X-men )

It would be awesome to see Mr. Ramos drawing an issue of Tales of TMNT.

Ah good old Dan I love seeing his artwork.

I really hate it when Lawson does an issue and someone else does the cover. It's so misleading...

I hate that with any comic book.
But this could be fun.

It's DARPA--I hope.

Maybe a reappearance of Braunze?

Braunze gets to pull the shell out of the fire again.

I hope we get DARPA as a credible threat. That one agent in Vol 2 who was after Baxter seemed pretty tough.

I am betting this thread is very, very old - but its what came up on a google search - and I was hoping someone could answer my question: who is that robot? They said it was based on a cartoon -- but I can't find anywhere that tells from what cartoon.

I only just recently bought the issue, along with a bunch of other old TMNT comics. So I hope bumping this thread up isn't too inconvenient. (It sink back down, eventually.)

It's based on Serling.

Thanks for the answer! Boy, I sure never would have guessed that (the gold coloring on the cover really doesn't make you think of Serling.
