Anybody hear of these??? I got some audios online of some TMNT Adventures (archie) books (the mini that started it all and the first 2 issues of the regular).
Anybody know if there's more out there?? I love read alongs (it's how I read DC's Kingdom Come series...I found the audio then the books  ). If there are more then I'd just love to hear their interpretation of Cudley's voice or Ninjara's voice! :D

I used to have one of these, when I was a little kid. The voice acting is pretty bad and the stories are lame. I do not think they were all Archie, I believe there were some made up stories as well.

I think there are a total of four read-along cassettes. There are three that go with Archie comics and then there is one that goes with the books The First Battle and The Final Lesson, which were based on the movie but were drawn cartoon style. The Archie cassettes are ok - at the end of the first cassette there is an awesomely bad "rap" - but the cassette for the two movie books is HORRIBLE. The narrator does ALL of the voices, including April. It's a good laugh, if nothing else.

Yes Rose, I was referring to the movie one, but I could not remember what it was about! Thanks for clarifying and adding to my comment.

Yea..Im listening to one of them right now and Oh man.... the voices are just...bad.... Krang has a deep voice like he has a throat problem or something, Shredder sounds a bit like Cobra Commander, Raph goes from sounding like movie Raph to Rob Paulsen and back again, Splinter sounds...wrong... it is a good laugh tho. Don sounds like Scooter from Muppet Babies....

Somebody REALLY needs to make an .mp3 of the rap from the end of the Adventures tape...I remember it and it IS awesomely bad.
Courtesy of MikeysTMNT.com, here's a horrible quality MP3 of it (http://www.mikeystmnt.com/media/sounds/songs/misc/tmntrap.mp3).

How bad is it to admit that I know all the lyrics to that rap?
Considering how easy it is to make out every single thing he said/rapped, I'd say that's not TOO pathetic. ^_^

oh wow, that rap is pretty catchy. I may have to put it on my Mp3 player so I can listen to it all day long.

Wow...
"Raphael's sai is a weapon and a half."
What does that even mean?!

it's pretty obvious this rap was written in about five minutes and there was no second draft.

Yea....The rap is just horrible..I was totally cringing....and I thought Shredder's rap song about how much he hates music was bad.
I doubt the rapper has "partied with the turtles a time or two"
Wow...

Let's see. That means... uhh... It means, "Hey! Look at me! I'm reaching like crazy for any rhyme I can come up with!" That's a professional interpretation.

I still have the cassette tape for the comic that adapted the first five episodes. I lost the comic, but I managed to hold onto the tape. A few years ago I bought two of the three issues of the Archie mini-series, which is the same material. I wonder if I still have a cassette tape player though. I think my old one may be long gone.
I remember this line in the tape was one that kind of stuck in my head, because of the way it was acted.

I have the first two Archie tapes. I loved them so much when I was a kid. I remember I found them after not hearing them for like five years when I was a senior in high school and listened to the first one on the bus one day and I could still remember half of it pretty much word for word.
I think I may have to rip them now that I'm reminded again. Would it be okay to post them if I did? I don't want to break the rules, but I know they've been unavailable for years so I'm not sure if it would be okay or not.

Might be a better idea to let people know if you did rather than post the links. They can PM you if their interested.
