In Bye Bye Fly Baxter did not make it to Dimension X and got in the web of a huge Spider, but he survived somehow and in Son of REturn of the Fly (Wierd name) he was in limbo with Z (How he ever got Z somehow) and when he followed Shredder, Bebop and Rocksteady through the portal, Krang closed it and Baxter was trapped once again in limbo and said not again and Z was a computer chip. in Landlord of the flies Baxter appeared somehow with no explanation of how he got out of limbo and No X (That was when he controlled flies) and Donatello sent him to another Dimension. In Revenge of the Fly (Baxter's last ep), Krang opened a Dimension and said that was the place they got rid of Baxter STockman as he got out and he had Z with him fully restored, and in the end the Turtles trapped him in limbo in the portal in the TEchnodrome.

And notice for Season 4 the Techndorome is shown on an island asteroid after it landed on a metal orb in the Season 3 finale??? And the Technodrome was Damanged then. Then Dimension X story acted as if the season premered with the Turltes saying how booring things are with Shredder in Dimension X and the lava eurrupted near the Technodrome burring it deeper, but in Son of Return of hte Fly KRang says the Volcano's erruption damanged their main computers, but it aired before Son of REturn of the Fly didnt it and in that episode they got the portal working and The Turtles told Baxter Shredder cant get to them as he is in Dimension X. These inconsistancies: in the SEason 1 finale the Technodrome was shown floating in Dimension X around billions of Greeting Rock Soldiers, but in the Season 2 premeire it was shown on a rocky planet and in the Season 2 finale The Technodrome sank into the lava (I thought it was the end of them there) and in the premere of Season 3 the Technodrome was shown parrked near the lava, and when it moved in Fifth Turtle it rolled down and is once again shown near lava and in the Big Rip off its shown parked on the ledge of a lava bed.

well to be fair, Z was that giant alien spaceshop computer from Bye Bye Fly. He had the same voice and attitude as the spaceship from that episode. Of course, who knows how that thing became a simple desktop computer... but oh well...

I always took it as "Revenge of the Fly" was the true sequel to "Son of Return of the Fly". "Landlord of the Flies" was standalone and didn't match up with Baxter continuity.

And there are a million ways Baxter could've escaped that spider web in "Bye Bye Fly". Maybe debris from the spaceship squashed the spider, then Baxter revived the spaceship's consciousness into a small computer monitor.

This show does have many inconsistencies. What do you expect from a show that was as rushed as this was, with many different studios working on different episodes at the same time? It's just one of those things...

but Landlord of the Flies still hand Baxter in it. it was a creative plot!

Notice how Baxter gets stupider and stupider every episode. loved how he turned people into insects.

One thing I've always wondered when Baxter was turning people into insects..... how come the regular citazens were turned into complete insects, yet the Channel 6 staff were turned into some sort of half human-half insect hybrid creature?

The theory behind "The Dimenson X Story" is that it was originally supposed to be the first episode of season 4 but they chose Plan Six from Outer Space instead. This is of course just a theory that has floated around this and other forums. The reason behind it being in a slightly different setting at the end of season 3 than it was in the beginning was due to writers. The Big Break In and Big Blow Out were originally going to be written by a different person (I can't remember who, David Wise maybe) and he continued from the point he had originally planned to end season 3 with. I forget the entire details but it's somewhere on this forum lol.

The hard thing about breaking down this series in general, specifically when you get to breaking it down into seasons, is that as soon as the CBS show started you really had two different series with the same title. "Plan 6 From Outer Space" was a syndicated episode while "The Dimension X Story" was a CBS episode. New syndicated episodes continued to be produced even after CBS picked it up. You can't mesh the two types of episodes together and get something linear. The CBS stuff managed to stay consistent, the syndicated stuff you kinda had to cross your fingers for.

It wasn'nt the spaceship who could talk. It was the computer inside the spaceship, probably it always was this small thing. And Baxter Stockman is a fly. He can fly away from the giant insect on that planet he crashed on in "Bye Bye Fly".

thats true there were a number of ways. it made us think it was the last we would see of Baxter. that scene was a good rip off of the fly.

I also always thougt it was to show how small he really was, even if he thought he was soo cool. Just a small fly who had crashed on a distant planet where giant insects lived.

I always thought spider webs were sticky and when they caught flies they couldn't get away. Maybe I've read too many Spider-man comics...

It depends on how strong the Spiderweb itself is and how much of something is on the web itself.

Notice this about Baxter stockman, they have this background music at least 6 times in the (every) episodes they have him on the SAturday morning cartoons: minutes 0:15 - 1:15 of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHezAmIjRRI (This is not a Baxter Epiosde thoughy).

That's a common background music tho for Season 4, I think. And I guess season 5 since that's what this episode is from.
