Which set of characters do you think are most similar to each other? I am only including characters that show up in more than one universe.

As Casey was designed to remind Raph of himself ... I'm going to have to go with them.

Second place is Don and Honeycutt.

I'd say Raphael and Leonardo.
Both train the hardest. The only difference is Leo finds the balance between physical and mental training while Raph just goes for physical.

Both are very emotional. Leo just hides it better.

Both care for Splinter's approval. Raph just denies it.

Both put themselves at risk for their brothers, faminly, and friends' safety.

Well, that's something they all do.

Not that the extent though... Raph and Leo are the only ones bloodied and wrecked but still getting up to fight to protect their lesser injured brothers.

Mikey and Don normally rely on on Raph and Leo to save them.

And most of the solo stories are either with Raph or Leo AGGRESSIVELY doing them, because they don't want to put their brothers at risk. Except for Mikey's Christmas story and Don meeting Kirby and the Gollum, we barely have seen any pure out solos from them.

Raph's had a ton and so has Leo.

Every turtle has relied on every one of the others at times, and they've all helped save each others' lives several times. And any one of them are willing to sacrafice themselves...remember Exodus? This show's about four protectors, not just two.

I like to think Leo and Usagi are most similar. They share similar honor values and learned the least from each other IMO. Casey and Raph is another good choice but I just felt that Raph taught Casey a lot of things and Casey taught Raph a bunch as well.

Leonardo, Issue 1

Leonardo, Blindsight

Raphael, Mini Series

Movies 1, 2

There's a reason why the Mirage posters and pinups normally are of a battered Raph, still growing strong, and Leo mediating his battles.

Don and Mikey normally back off when their pain tolerance is overwhelming them.

Exodus is an extreme condition; it was virtually out of their hands. And all were depending on Leo. Even Raph.

No, they weren't depending just on Leonardo there, that's just how he interpreted it. And still, I've seen several sits. where they've all saved each others' lives. And if they back off, why would Donatello have jumped in front of that laser to save Splinter in Search for Splinter 2, or why would Michaelangleo continue fighting the Foot and Shredder with a sprained ankle in Shredder Strikes 2?

I chose Donnie and LH I guess just because of the Good Genes episodes of the New series.

Here's how it's going to work; Slash thinks what Slash thinks and those who agree with him/her agree. X thinks what X thinks and those who agree with him/her agree. And all shall be well with the world and each opinion shall be respected.

Yeah, Raph and Casey were made for each other.

While Leonardo and Raphael do have things in common, including those aspects mentioned, they certainly are not the most similar characters to each other.

"Hothead"
"Splinter Jr."

Imagine the show with 2 Splinter Jrs. And Leonardo was only temperamental when he had disintegrated and gone into his shadow due to the trauma from Exodus.

Besides, this question had in mind a Turtle and a non-Turtle character pair.
Although I'll accept nominations like "Bebop and Rocksteady" or the sort.

Raph and Casey for me. Next to them would have to be Mikey and Mondo.

How come you threw in that Michaelangelo and Mondo Geko pairing from another turtle universe? :-? All the other choises are from the 2k3 series. :ohwell:

I put in Turtles and characters that showed up in at least two universes.

- Usagi shows up in Mirage, OT, and NT.
- Mondo Gecko shows up in the OT and in Archie.
- Leatherhead and Casey show up in 4 out of 5 universes, albeit not the same ones.
- Professor Hunnicutt is in Mirage and the NT.
- And of course, Splinter and April are in every major Turtle universe.

I put the "Other" category just in case you found another character or characters- regardless of how many universes he or she showed up in- that you wanted to nominate.

oh alright then I'll say Mondo Geko and Michaelangelo from the classic cartoon series. However I think that is close seconded by Leo and Usagi from the 2k3 series. These to just seem like they where cut from the same clothe.

im voting Donatello and Professor Hunnicutt because if Donatello were to have the money, space and supplies, he probably would've been doing the same experiments.

Another one I was gonna vote for was Raphael and Casey.
Is Usagi the samurai rabbit?? I forget... :(

Usagi is the samurai rabbit indeed. He shows up in 3 out of the 5 universes. And I truly hope they show him and Leatherhead in a future movie.

Exodus and Leonardo's Blind Sight do show Leo taking it personal.

But from how I see it, Raph and Leo are, at their core, the same. Raph wishes he could allow himself to be exposed like Leo but he hides it.

I'm not going to argue my opinion because it's valid.

Raph and Casey for sure. They both want to do the same thing the same way.

I went with Leo and Usagi since these two are like two peas in a pod. These two are so alike it's cool that they have so much in common. My second would be Leo and Splinter since when Usagi isn't around Leo has Splinter to who he tries to follow and be like.

He's not up here but I think Don and Leather Head are very similar too since they are both mutants and have science as there hobby.
