just thought I'd let everyone know it's on right now in case anyone cares.
It's been years since I've watched this movie since I'm waiting for a good collectors version to come out on dvd.:)

I thought they would considering the stuff they cut out of austin powers.

Yet they don't cut out the part where the kids are gambling. So it's better to show that than the other? I don't understand that concept at all. And also the part where one of the ninjas are electrocuted.

I'm used to watching my old VHS tape. Seeing it on TV made me realize how sad that copy's getting. I'm gonna need a DVD if I hope to be able to make out the picture in a few years. :-)

I think I heard they are trying to get an "R" rating on any movie with smoking in it. Maybe this is why it was cut. That, or maybe just time constraints.

Ooh, yeah, was channel-flipping last night and found the movie on. It's strange to find it on TV though, a really odd feeling. And they're showing the second movie today...eh. But still. Yeah, I remember parents having a really tough time with the first movie when it came out, being more violent and "mature" than they expected. So they took all their little kids, who have been enthralled with the more innocent cartoon series to this movie that was fashioned more from the comics...yeah. As a parent I understand, but as a parent who loves the turtles...well...the first movie was a bit of realism that gave them life. It will always be "the classic".

A few notes:
1. When the show had the 2nd ninja turtles movie on, they cut it off after splinter says: 10 flips now after the turtles return home and they are in the paper (this cut off his joke).
2. they'll keep showing movies like that until their television series come up with new seasons and such.
Overall, I'm glad they showed #1 & #2 again. you can't kill the classics.

the only time you'll see ninja turtles 3 is on one of the HBO channels or you might even see it in the STARZ package.
showing it on ABC family would be nice if they really had nothing else to show:D

I never watch films on TV when I have it on disc. Seems like a waste of time to sit there with all the editing and commercials. But I do concur that I want a deluxe edition of the movie to come out. We should have got one on their anniversary. Maybe in 2010...

3 gets shown occasionally on SciFi Channel in the late night hours...

sci-fi channel showing ninja turtles 3...that's like saying let's show Mystery Science Theater 3000 (which used to show on Sci-Fi)
no insult by the way but then again, late night television does have its moments.

Extreme late night..like 3am. Around the holidays they usually air it during movie marathons.

What will things be like when TMNT makes its way to television; starting out in the STARZ package at the most and then in later years, ABC family says: "let's show TMNT."
Dream the Impossible Dream, as Don Quixote put it.
