Funniest character (OT only)

[ToTheNines]

For me it's Raphael, Rob Paulsen is such a good smart ass. Tied for second is Krang and Michelangelo, Krang because of his Shredder bashing/married couple deal, and Mike because of the bizzare things he'd say (Correctomundo, Pork Puss!!!!).

Note: I really should have left out Leo, but just incase someone actually finds him funny... there ya go :)

[Revan]

Krang all the way. So many of his lines went over my head as a kid but watching them now, they are classic.

[Slash]

Leo all the way! He was like Freddy from Scooby Doo. No matter what happened, he always would say "I bet it was the Shredder!"

Like this scene...
Splinter, "Which one of my sons left the seat up on the toilet?
Leonardo, "I got a feeling it was the SHREDDER!"
Raphael, "Dude, it was me!"

[Scandia]

I voted for Michelangelo. But it was a close call between Mikey, Irma, and Vernon.

Although EVERYONE in the OT has his or her share of funny lines. Shredder can be hysterical at times.

[Drtooth]

I would have put Rocksteady and Bebop as one entery... of course, Rocksteady is funnier than Bebop. And Krang is pretty damn funny too.

[VaughnMichael]

I voted for Raphael I never laughed watchig the show growing up guess the jokes went over my head but now man Raph makes me laugh so much.
Krang would be in second place though I like when he goes "oh, no!"

[triplexxx]

Every OT character can make me laugh. All the turtles are pretty cute, funny, and good with wisecracks. Splinter soemtimes makes me laugh when he wisecracks or is under a trance; to me he's the least funny character, but every so often I can find something he does funny. April, Shredder, and Krang are funny when they act cynical or sarcastic. Bebop and Rocksteady are funny when they're dumb, angry, or try to overtake authority. Irma's flirtaciousness is funny. Vernon and Burne are funny when they're bossy, angry, or cowardly.

[Wanda]

I voted for Raphael. It's obvious, his comments always made me laugh.

Krang and Vernon are my second choice. And Shredder is funny too.

[twigs232]

I voted Krang. I loved his lines even back in the 80's when I was a kid!

[KROW]

It's a toss-up between Raph and Krang for me. I thought they were both funny in their own way.

[Sage Ninja]

I'm going to be a complete cop out and say that they are all funny as hell. This show was run on comedy so of course each character had their own comedic charm. Even Leonardo, especially when he would lose his cool and freak out.

[MoreCowbell5263]

April's funniest line...
Newscaster: "A mutant warthog and rhino have just been seen causing havoc in the downtown metropolitan area"
April: "That can only be Bebop and Rocksteady!"

Haha, I love those priceless lines where it's like "Gee, how'd you come to that assumption?"

[cowabunga14]

I always thought Krang and Raphael were the most humorous.

[Masked Ninja]

Raph was funny, but to me that kind of sarcastic humor usually seems like it's trying too hard. Maybe it seems so predictable because it was an '80s kid show. :P

I find a lot of Don's wry observations to be hilarious, though if Shredder and Krang were combined into one entity I'd vote for that... the old-couple bickering is always awesome. :tlol:

[DonatelloDomeHead31]

I went with Donatello because he delivered a few funny lines in the first episode and when he builds the Turtle Van and Turtle Blimp.

[Jelly Bean]

I don't know why this poll has been shut down but I'm going to cast my vote with Raphael. He is so not like Raph from the current toon but he has his own energy and charisma and he is actually laugh out loud funny. I don't find many animated character particularly funny since I mostly find their humour corny and contrived but Raph really is subtley funny.

[Krang]

I don't know why this poll has been shut down but I'm going to cast my vote with Raphael.
The poll had expired, but I reopened it in case anyone else is interested in voting.

[Jelly Bean]

hot diggity!! Thanks Krang, Raphy boy earn another point! :D

[TheUltimateShredhead]

Im going for rocksteady:D

[thebrownranger]

Rocksteady and Raph. Its ironic that Mikey wasn't the funny one in the old toon.

[ToSte]

If your answer doesn't equal Krang, you're incorrect. :P

[tone-master21]

I voted for Krang, but Raph would have been my second choice.

[LeoNerdo]

my vote goes to mikey, but after him krang is definitely the funniest character, at least to me

[blue_angel99]

Irma cracked me up! She said the wierdest and funniest things. These are some that I can recall..

April: Don't worry Verne. If I have to I'll do an interview with big foot.
Irma: If you do find out if he's married!
-----------------------------------------------
Donny: Irma, I need you.
Irma: Oooo!
Donny: Easy Irma. It's only to pick up a pizza!
----------------------------------------------
Irma: Do you suppose there from the turtles?
April: I keep tellin' you Irma, I hardly know the turtles.
Irma: Oh. I wish some guy would send me flowers, even if he were green and had flippers.
----------------------------------------------
Irma: April! I'm glad you're here! I chipped one of my nails and I'm all out of this color polish!
April:Irma, please I got problems!
Irma: You've got problems! What if some hunky guy calls me for a date!
----------------------------------------------
Irma: No wait I'll be your hostage! Take me instead!
RatKing: Yeah right...call me when you're a reporter.
Irma: Oooh men! You always go for the redheads! (she kicks the Ratking in the shin)

[Jelly Bean]

Its ironic that Mikey wasn't the funny one in the old toon.

yeah, I thought that was ironic too that he doesn't try to be the funny one in the old toon. Actually I kinda appriciate that he doesn't try to be funny in the 80's toon, it makes him a bit more bearable to watch. I think Raph from the 80's toon proves that a character doesn't have to use slap stick or act stupid to be comic relief. This is howMikey in the current toon should be written to be funny.

[NameGoesHere1066]

any version where Mikey doesn't run his mouth nonstop is one I can appreciate.

I voted for Krang because I thought he was a hoot. But I really wish there had been an option for Krang and Shredder because these two together where freakin' hillarious.

[Sage Ninja]

I think Raph from the 80's toon proves that a character doesn't have to use slap stick or act stupid to be comic relief. This is how Mikey in the current toon should be written to be funny.

though I agree that Raphael shows that humour in cartoons doesn't have to be slap stick all the time to be funny I don't agree that old toon Raph brand of humour is the way NT Mikey should not be a carbon copy of the past.

The thing that made Shredder and Krang so funny is that they acted like an old married couple, with Bebop and Rocksteady as their unruly teenage kids. Their interactions where pricelss.

[Jelly Bean]

uh...maybe its because I'm new to the 80's toon but I haven't gotten the impression that Krang and Shredder act like an old married couple. :-?
