Hmm, thoughts any one? I think they're starting to get lazy on us here.

I'm starting to not even care. As long as I get the movie turtles and the other characters I want, Basta! I'm going for Necca.

Is this for real? I've seen a lot a playmates crap but this is a new low... wait... nevermind, I should have seen this coming a mile away. At least I won't be tempted to buy these vehicles... I already have them all.
Dear playmates toys,

I've lost interest in these figs again, after I get Shredder and Sloth, looks to be it for quite a while....

Wow, these 'new' vehicles are totally lame. It seems like they are not even trying to make good toys anymore. However, I really love my Jungle Leo, but on the other hand they could have just sold the cloak and jungle gear in an accessory pack.

I would have been really angry with this but now that NECA is making figures as well, it honestly doesn't matter anymore.
Let Playmates continue to re-package the same figures over and over for kids, there's no problem with that. We don't have to buy them. The NECA figures on the other hand sound amazing, and that's where I'll spend my money.
Granted I still plan to buy actual GOOD Playmates toys, but until they release some figures worth buying I'll stand clear. I'd gladly buy new Fast Forward toys even, god, I wanted a FF Bishop so badly.

Wow those blow big time. Repaint some more 2K3 and lets watch this ship sink.

Yeah... I'm pretty much going to save my $$$ for the NECA turtles.
If I find myself with some extra, I'll probably "shell out" for some of the new mini-mutants. I actually kind of dig the big feet and hands and lord knows I'm a sucker for really small plastic toys that look neat on a shelf.

Looks like we all finally agree on something.

I can't believe what they are doing! Do they think that this is going to make them that much more money? If they are banking on collectors to buy each of the different colored vehicles, I think they will be sadly mistaken. The money they spent on repainting these toys should have gone towards developement of not ony updated and different types of vehicles, but on a whole new design team that can come up with some FRESH ideas. I'm sick of seeing motorcycles and sewersliders. What would a new age Turtle Blimp look like? Does anyone remember the Foot Cruiser? Or even the Turtle Dragster was pretty awesome. I am just saying they had alot of good ideas in the80's. If they want to take ideas from past vehicles, they should go back to that period of time and revamp those.

I can officially say I can stop collecting the new TMNT figures from playmates. The distribution of the figures in Australia is poor anyway, we missed out on 5 assortments that contained non-turtle characters plus half of the non-turtle movie figures, but for some reason we still see al the deluxe variants of the TMNT. For the past 8 months all I have been able to find are variants of the turtles and their vehicles, there aren't even any Foot's or Triceratons around to troop-build anymore to sustain my interest. It is at the point beyond insanity.
I don't understand how kids will hold an interest in the line if every christmas all they get is another Don or another Mikey. I know it was that way for me as a kid and that's what drove me to stop asking for TMNT because i was sick of having figures that were of no use to me.
I'm glad Neca is giving playmates a run for it's money, I don't even care if they ask $20-$30 a figure, I'd much rather spend a lot of money on a few things I love than a lot of money on tonnes and tonnes of crap that floods my house that i can't appreciate.
