Krangenstein lives!

I recently watch the "Krangenstein lives" episode, and i noticed that after Shredder lost his memory, he starts questioning himself why he wears a metal mask, and when one of the turtles screams "Shredder!" he seems negative suprised over the name. But through out his amnesia he still have his desire for power. So i concluded that he not always had the facination of metal like he does through the series, so if thats the case i wondering whats the origin of Shredders facination of metal?

Good question. I always thought it was that he was trying to pull off a samurai armor look, and he used metal as armor. I'm not sure though.

I personally always felt Saki was going for a more menacing look and aura about him with the Shredder armor he ultimately went with.
