Okay, major spoilers. If you're reading this thread and haven't read the issue, beware.

The mistress claims that she wants to kill the TMNT for crimes against her family and the Oroku family. She makes it clear that she is not a member of the Oroku family.

What crime could Hamato Yoshi have committed against someone beside the Oroku family? It's probably not too likely that we're talking about the Hamato family--Hana doesn't want to kill Splinter, even though her family fell into major disfavor over Nagi's death. (#34)

So... what if the Mistress is talking about crimes against the Tang family, i.e. Tang Shen?

What if Tang Shen's family also fell into disfavor, and one of the members wants revenge against Hamato Yoshi's pet rat?

It's the only thing I can come up with. Y'all's speculation?

I was reading this the other day and was wondering if it had been uncovered yet. The only thing we know of (so far) that Yoshi could have done wrong is getting Tang Shen killed, but other than that, we don't know too much. What I want to know though is how they would know Splinter is Yoshi's rat?

All I can say is that's an interesting, and well thought, theory you have RaphAttack.

In response to odupianist's question, I'm assuming by "they" you mean the Foot. The clan became fully aware of the Hamato Yoshi-Splinter-TMNT connections at some point after the first Mirage comic. It's never been stated when they learned this, but it can be assumed they certainly came to know from the resurrected Shredder.

If you two are interested in seeing this story concluded then I would recommend you let Mirage know. "Change of Power" is just the first story to a three-parter, and Mirage has already accepted the two sequels but have been sitting on the scripts for a year. The first sequel was even planned to be issue 34 before it was bumped. You can check out some of Scott Cohn's artwork for it here:

Glad you guys are interested.

I'm serious about contacting Mirage - send them some emails if you want to see the sequels. Dan pays close attention to what the fans want and he passes the word onto Peter (who is the person who really needs to be swayed).
