Dammit, I really know I shouldn't buy these, as I already bought the 2k3 Mutating figures AND I still have the old cartoon Mutating figures...and buying these would make it three sets.

Aargh, Playmates, I don't know what to do.

how stupid, how many different variations of a poorly selling toy do we need? There were tons of mutations figs from the 2k3 show on the pegs for the longest time and nobody wanted them!

I've stopped buying. Gets too expensive.

I'm actually tempted by these. Especially Mike, since he doesn't have a crazy look on his face. I'll have to find 'em in person and then decide.

-->> .. maybe i'd get one .. like the damm TMNT movie Mechs .. only got one .. the Donatello cuz it just made sence ..

.. variants get a lil' fried sometimes.. ..don't toally disagree with Cybercubed's predicament .. feel the frustration .. :(

I actually really like these! I must admit that Leo looks strange because of the strap they gave him, but movie style mutations was something that I put on the Big Foot form when I filled out the survey months ago. I wonder if these will be out by Christmas?

It also looks like there might be a place to store the weapons in the shell.

I'm afraid I gotta pass on these. They should have just made the original movie figures and moved on to another line. These are the same old figures with new head on them.

Um actully they're not every single part is a brand new sculpt. If they used the same old sculpts and plopped new heads on them like they did for 2k3 I would have passed on these just like I did that set except the new foot soldier of course.

Well, now that there is a new set of mutations coming, it looks like like we're ripe for a new set of motorcycle figures as well....round and round we go...:|

You can, and the weapons are smaller because of that.

I didn't say it was the same sculpt. I was being sarcastic except for the part of not buying them. You probably did buy the 2k3 mutations didn't you? They keep putting these out because people like you keep buying them.

Why would I buy things they brought out before, I'm one of the people who hate when they re-use sculpts over and over again.
I only have a handfull of turtle figures these days and they are all characters I like.
I don't even waste my money on stupid action feture or dressed up turtles.
So yeah guess again there bucko.

Actually, they are making a movie Leo and Raph on Shell-Cycles and a Mike and Don on Sewer Sliders. And these will have miniature counterparts. :P

My apologies! Just out of curiousity, I'd love to know what you consider a "handful." A handful should mean that you only like 5 characters. Surely you have more figures than that.

I remember the 2k3 mutating ones had very similar if not the same sculp from the old toon mutating turtles..

Might as well use it for a third time ;)

I'd buy them for the "ooze", I had so much fun as a kid with it, do they sell it separately?

Actually, it looks more like they reused the heads off the McD's TMNT promotion. Especially the Raph and Leo heads.

Oh my gosh? A Mikey figure that doesn't look like he's on crack? And it transforms and has a tank of ooze?! I will so be buying him!...along with the Leo because the "normal" form with a sword belt is the cutest thing I've ever seen.

edit:.....is Don making a smooch face? Awww.... XD

And haven't they already done the motorcycle thing with the movie figures?

They need to milk the movie for as long as they can untill the new show comes out.

Found these at TRU!!! $10.99... other stores will probably have them for $9.99. I splurged and bought all four right now 'cause that's 1 and 1/3rd Bigfoot right there, with one week left in the promo.

Edit: Here (http://ninja-pizza.blogspot.com/2007/12/new-mutations-action-figures-now.html) are the pics.

Another edit: Here's demutated Mike. Unfortunately, his left back leg (not pictured) is a bit gimpy. :P

TRU finally got these in. I had the original Don and Mikey when I was a kid, but they broke...a lot. Got just Don to try them out and I got to say, these are much better built than the originals. The parts that broke on the originals the most are great now. The back leg connections now have metal pins. The side peices are the same, but the transfromation no longer has you turning them around. The sculpting is great on the baby turtle parts (btw, Rose, you forgot to flip the tows around :P). I like the look on Don's face to. Looks like he's geeking out over a new computer part or something:lol:

Well, that's a technicallity for the fans, though this stuff is for the mainstreadm toysellers liker Target, Wal_Mart, and TRU.

Anyway, these really have no appeal to me. they look failry ugly, in both mutated and unmutated form. The heads are pretty iffy looking (especially Don's "ooh" expression). And it makes me wish they used old head sculpts, instead of new ones.

Of course, I never cared too much for the Mutation figures, though I constantly kick myself for not getting mutation Shredder last time around.
