Hi Guys
I had pizza all day today (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and on this day engaging on the TMNT diet it got me to thinking, what Takeout pizza do the turtles order from? i know in the films it was Dominos and in the TMNT 2 Game for the NES there was Pizza Hut adverts in it. so what do you guys say?

The name used the most was Vinnie's Pizza in the old show, thought they ordered pizza from like.... every damn pizza place in town... anything from Greasy Eddie's European Pizza to the Russian Pizza Shack.

Yeah, they talk about Vinnie's pizza joint in a number of episodes. But it seems to me they buy pizza just about anywhere they can get their hands on it.

I assumed Domino's cause that's what they eat in the first movie. But that's probably just product placement.

In the OT, Vinnie's was a regular, but they had it anywhere. In the 1st movie, Domino's, and in the 2nd movie, Roy's, in the last movie, Cheeco's, though I still guess in the movies it didn't have to be specific either. They'd likely get it anywhere in any universe, there's no real official place.

Wasn't there some "gourmet" pizza place or something they tried once where the pizzas ended up being really small?

I see the turltes sticking to the local pizza places, like me. I normally only eat from Brothers Pizza, Anthony's, Mario's, King's and Pizzeria Italia... **** the corperate **** (I do eat that too though :P)

See, but if they become spokespeople...er...turtles, for Domino's, maybe they'd be able to afford a bigger place in the sewers, or maybe they could afford a lifetime's supply of pizza without having to scrounge for money that drops in the sewers or whatever theories came up in that "how do the turtles afford pizza" thread.

If you ask me, they should have just stocked up on totinos...the stealthy way to eat pizza:lol:

What was the ninja pizza parlor from the first episode?
They probably goto Winner's Pizza on Wednesday for the Twin Win special, just cause its affordable and dope as hell.

It was Ninja Pizza, home of the nice slice!
There were some odd characters working there, and you were able to get odd toppings. Plus the check was given by throwing it at the table attached to a knife IIRC.
Now, I wonder if the turtles would ever try Ninja Burger:

Best moment of the show ever was that Pizzaria. I especially like how hypocritical Donatello was about hating Raw fish, but ordering a Sashimi pizza in the same episode.
But yeah, Pizza Hut was emblazoned on the NES version of the Arcade game. That was a fun deal Advertising in a video game. Took others years to catch on to that. Only other game I know of in those days that did it was California Games.

I guess the TMNT writers weren't too concerned with continuity, even within one episode. :)
Also, Raphael's line about the sinister note/check thing is one of the funniest lines ever in the show.

In the OT, Donatello hated sushi. But in the character profiles, it lists sushi as one of his favorite foods. However, nowhere in the NT is he shown eating sushi.

The character profiles I think were for the comics, the cartoons and movies are different.

Haven't seen Donatello eat sushi in Mirage or Archie either.
Personally, I dislike sushi myself.

I love the stuff. In the turtles cartoon they try to make you think it's the most unappetizing thing ever, but it's great.

Oh. Well, it seemed like they just pulled out a Japanese food name at random, because the writers probably aren't into Japanese cusine.
Too bad they didn't order a Pizzadon.

Personally, I dislike sushi myself. Then I guess that part of the profiles are just made-up whack. Their food preferences are pretty much the same as one another in every universe.I love the stuff. In the turtles cartoon they try to make you think it's the most unappetizing thing ever, but it's great.I like it too, especially with Wasabi, though it is kinda filling, that's the only thing. I don't think they do that purposely in the toons, they do like Chinese takeout in the NT, and so do the bad guys in the OT.Too bad they didn't order a Pizzadon.Maybe I sound a bit nieve, but what is that exactly?

Something I just made up, combining pizza with common Japanese cusine. You see, Don means bowl....
So basically it would be like a gyudon (beef bowl) but with small slices of pizza instead of small slices of beef.

Indeed they did. I can't completely remember the name of the place it was something like.. "Pic-a-pac-a-pizzas"? Was in the episode Raphael Meets his Match where they go on the cruise on MacDonald Crump's boat and he meets Mona Lisa the mutant.

For a second I thought of the episode "April Foolish" when Mikey smells pizza and opens the serving dish only to find a tiny bagel bite size pizza and says "or at least it will be when it grows up :ohwell:" rofl. Anyways, I also have wondered this same thing. For me it started as Kids Cuisine with the pizza, then Dominoes for a while until the Noid drove me insane, then Pizza Hut (somehow playing the NES game and eating Pizza Hut felt official lol) but ultimately it is about how you grew up watching turtles. Growing up in the Maryland area, I spent much of my childhood eating Ledo's pizza (FTW). Our Ledo's had a TMNT arcade machine so I ate Ledo's and played TMNT. THAT is the official turtles pizza for me anyways. Everytime I eat Ledo's pizza and play TMNT on MAME or XBOX Live Arcade I get all tingly inside :D

I live in WV and there's a Ledo across town. It's a good place but the sauce is too sweet, so I always get the bufallo chicken pizza, or a sub.

I'd hope that they would eat from a local Italian pizza place, I mean they do live in NYC.
