Hello, Yes I'm new.

I think it's going to be intresting to see how often this new show plays to the older fans of the original series.

I'm sure the new series will be fine on comedy. Do you expect them to throw in jokes that somwhat are parodies of the original series.

Already we've had Raph push Mike as he uttered his former catchphrase "cowabunga!" Now to the older fans, we know that this was his old catchphrase, and thats why it's funny.
Is it funny to the kids watching that don't have that connection? Is it just funny becuase Raph cut off mike by pushing him?

Should we expect to see someone bring up the idea to Shredder that they should mutate animals(in particular a boar and a rhino) to compete with the turtles, only to be scoffed at with a line along the lines of "Who'd be stupid enough to do that?"

What do you guys expect. Thoughts? Opinions?

Shredder doesn't have any access to mutagen, so he couldn't. But I think it might be pretty funny. There already have been jokes about the old series in the first ep. Like when Raph pushes Mike just as he's about the say cowabunga. I expect there'll be more jokes like that later on in the series.

I'm confident that they will do so. As been talked about many time before they already have. In "Things Change" obviously there was the cowabunga joke, but the guy on the bike was INDEED the rat king. (I freeze-framed it and blew it up).

Also as talked about before, Eastman and Laird made cameo apperences....which only a die-hard fan would catch and find funny.

Keep your eyes out for jokes like RatKing. You might find Vernon and Erma in a crowd or Some women in a yellow-jump suit. Or wanted posters on back ground walls with LeatherHead's photo on it... I'm not saying that these will happen...But its pretty clear to me that Woo Animation does realize there is a need to joke about the old show...and I believe they did their research.
