hrm, I'm having a hard time finding the exact episode where this is explained or a summary that covers it on the internet, but does anyone recall what exactly the mutagen that the turtles were mutated from was? Er, as I remember it was like a side product (can't think of the word >_<) of creating the transmat or from experiments to do with the transmat? And the stuff that Leatherhead was mutated from was the same stuff?
Whatever info can be thrown my way would be appreciated! Thanks!
It was created by the utroms. They explain it all in the three episodes after they return from space in season 2. I can't recall what it was called. Secret Origins, I believe.

Ah, thanks a lot, I'll have to get a hold of that episode because the summaries of it I found didn't seem to cover it enough. That is, unless I skimmed over that part while searching *goes to check*
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

More specifically, it was a waste by-product of the transmat. Think of it as the Utrom equivalent of the barrels of radioactive waste generated by nuclear power plants. The fact that such waste had mutagenic properties was incidental.

Yes! that's what I was looking for! I was thinking along those lines, but couldn't articulate it or remember if that was indeed the case! Such a simple thing to get confused about ^_^;;
Thanks a million for the help, guys!
