Anyone find there are a lot of typos in this particular issue? Or is it just like that in First's colour graphic novel?

There are a lot of typos in Volume 1. They drive me nuts.

cool to see it up there.
Shame Laird's still trying to justify not using issue 8 with claims of copyright issues after Sim gave up all rights to it.

Cool comic. I really liked the story! Like Scandia, I'd love to see this adapted into a 2k3 episode. :)
Hmm, I noticed that mikey and raph's weapons are different from their teenage weapons. Raph has a tonfa (not sure that's the correct name), and mike has a chain thingie. Were these explained somewhere else?

Read this issue last time I looked through the graphic novels I got a while back.
Good stuff. I thought about waiting for possible reprints of volume one, but I eventually ran out of patience and decided I might as well hunt it down.

Nobody should wait for Vol. 1 reprints because when they come they won't be true reprints (especially #8 - I now have the replacement story in full and it's just kinda sad). Get the First books and, if you can get a good deal or are willing to spend the extra $$, get the old Collected Book Vol. 1.

I have the colorized trades, so I'm missing the Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael books at this point. I don't see why the Raphael issue wasn't included, since it's the first appearance of Casey Jones. Also the Donatello issue, as it was a tribute to Jack Kirby. Heck, they could have put one micro series issue in each book so each one would have been four comics in one book.

Any word as to why First didn't continue publishing colorized trades? Were the sales not good enough? The Turtles were popular until the mid-90s...You'd think they could've reprinted most (if not all) of Volume 1.
I ask because, as I see it, these are the penultimate versions of issues #1 through #11. Once you lay eyes on the exquisite colouring, it's hard to go back to dingy old black-and-white.

Mikey was using the Mariki Gusari. It was cool that they even had Mikey used it in an ep of the old toon in the 'Thing About Rat's episode. I guess they were just weapons they trained with before they could master the Nunchuck and Sai.

I agree. This was my first exposure to these comics as a kid (the color trades), and I thought they were awesome in color.
Don't know why they didn't make more...maybe because issue #11 was kind of the "end" of the ongoing story by E&L and the comics were kind of disjointed and unconnected afterwards.

Yeah, I figured as much. Still, Return to New York and City at War would've definitely merited some colorized graphic novels. It's a real damn shame we've never gotten any.

Yeah, I'd love to see RTNY and CAW in full color. I'd buy those graphic novels in a second. If I had plenty of free time, I'd try to make my own in Photoshop. Though without brand new Kevin Eastman covers, they wouldn't be as cool..

Maybe they tried to work different weapons at first? Or They just used tonfa for Raph to get used to using paired weapons before taking on steel? Mikey and gusari fits, he seems to dig the chain weapons.

Was City at War ever collected as a trade at all? I got the Return to New York one a while back.
Since getting a lot of the beginning of volume 1 as either trades or single issues, I've been starting to get into the current comics. I think the next thing I'm going to look for is either Archie or City at War issues.

There's a Return to New York trade?
Yeah. Apparently there are 7 volumes of Mirage vol. 1 trades. I got 2-5 through the official site, and 6 I got a long time ago.
