I was wondering if anyone has seen or picked up the new hardcover TMNT book by Heavy Metal??... I got it yesterday, and I must say it's sweet!!! Great stuff in there, it's like $40.00.....but it's well worth it... let me know if you received it yet and what you thought of it...oh and they had the designs of what the future TMNT might look like...that was pretty cool...and an idea for a fifth turtle...named Kirby... hmmm Great stuff!!
Yeah I have it for 4 months now,
And It's a really cool book, every art and neat stuff a TMNT fan want
(and for me Kevin will always be TMNT creator nr. 1 and Peter nr. 2)
Great BOOK

Not to demean eastman in the slightest, but isn't peter's involvment enough to at lest even them out? not to mention he's the sole owner of the tmnt

I ordered it via Midtown comics. All in all, you'll end up paying close to forty dollas due to shipping. Mirage charges 38, but they won't charge you shipping on Kevin's Artobiography. I'm waiting to get the book in the mail. I'll try to answer your questions once I get it.

I've heard rumors that Kevin Eastman's TMNT artobiography can be found at Borders, but this is unconfirmed.
Kirby was a fifth turtle proposed for a fourth TMNT movie that never came around. I skimmed through the book and found no references to the color bandanna he wears. I assume it's red. Also, there are a lot of concept sketches of Kirby, most of them being a deformed looking turtle. I think he would've played the villain in the non-existant fourth movie. Reminds me a lot of Slash.

I just found it on Amazon for $27.97 with free shipping. I was gonna order it from the official site, but now I think I'll go through Amazon as they'll ship this to the UK (unlike the new figures ).

Ooo.. I like that price better!
*admits that the $40 pricetag is why she doesn't have one yet either*

In Mirage's DONATELLO book, the artist is named Kirby. Maybe he comes back?

No, that issue was done to respect Jack "The King" Kirby. The artist was named after him. The whole issue imitated Kirby's style.

You could. But, you'd pay $40 minus any discount you may or may not get. Also, they may ask for an order number. Which I can't seem to find.
Or you could order it from amazon.com fror $28 with free shipping.
TMNT is cooler than MOTU

Yah, but on Amazon it takes 1-3 weeks for them to even ship it. Also, I was talking to my local comic shop worker today and he said they were trying to get some back in. He said he has two copies for himself, one for reference and reading and the other SIGNED BY KEVIN EASTMAN!!!! :o :o :o
