New Episode Discussion - "A Better Mousetrap"

I thought we should seperate this duscussion from the one we had last week. :D

Awesome episode so far.

I want to point out one flaw already...anyone notice it?

the flaw i saw was this. when they were hanging above the water, they must have been grappling to eachother's ankles with their fingers, because raph made the comment "watch your spikes, mike."

Previous to this, mike slammes his hand down on don's shoulder, while wearing his climbing spikes, LOL. I thought it looked funny.

Ahhh, mike said "Can I keep her?", like in TMNT1, "Can we keep her?"

did all of your episodes kind of glitch like 4 times as well as mine, or was it just mine? it kinda froze for a second or 2 4 seperate times. around the time the mouser was hanging on the back of the train. Well, I just finished watching it, it wasn't as good as the first p for sure but it was good.
April bothered me though wearing really skimpy clothes under a lab coat, it just looked weird

Was there a pre-opening-song sequence, like the narration/purple dragon thing last week. The reason I ask is there appeared to be a weird glitch at the station right after the credits for Ultimate Muscle... then it showed half a commercial break and cut into the show halfway through the opening song.

I hope I didn't miss anything. I'll have to tape it next week (even though the tape I'm supposed to be making next week is for my friend... what to do - what to do).

Awesome ep overall. April is decent, plenty more interaction from the turtles, and Baxter tries his best to knock down Mr. Fly in my eyes. He's not doing too well.

I liked this episode as well. Seemed to show the TMNT in a more natural setting in the first part as they settle back down. Still waiting to see when they'll take off their masks as been hinted though. I also think this cartoon is taking quite a bit from the 1st and 2nd movies too. Noticed an abandoned subway car in one of the backgrounds.

Liked the DVD collection, since that is the biggest pastime my hubby has too. Sure love to have a big set up like they had. :P I think some time had passed since thhe last ep. Unless they were that industrious going to the junkyard for things.

Sewer slider's intriquing too, what with those hovercraft feaytires. Maybe Don found an old hovercraft boat in the junk yard too...

I also thought, "Gah, April's gotta buttcrack too!" :lol: Yep, doing the Britney Spears thing with her, all the way. Appearance aside, I thought her character is good. She acted like how I would expect a suspicous lab assistant would, and then some.

The humor was just as good. Liked all the quotes mentioned so far as well. And "I think Donny's lost his techno mojo!" *snigger*

My nit picks... how come Raph doesn;t electrocute himself when he stabs a mouse with his sai? Didnt realize cloth wrappings do not conduct electricity. Or when they fell int eh sewers and the turtles are hanging on to each other at the ankles. What's up everybody? Im new here, just thought I'd throw my 10 cents in to the jar on the new series... This is the first episode I got to see, (My affililate airs it at 7:30am, not 10:30Am, as I was told it would air)

Anyways, I like the way the series is reminecent of the Movie and Comic series as opposed to being a remake of the old animated series. I like the new(old?) Baxterstockman as opposed to the goody geeky guy from the old series.... As for the turtles, I really dig them. ^^

The new voices could take sometime to grow on me, but I already like the new Leo and Mikey. Raph's not bad, and Don kinda reminds me of Corey Feldmen heh.

April... oh April... well I guess she's not that bad... I don't like the half shirt, and that area of her back (That's suppoused to be the bottom of her spine) Kinda looks like her ass is hanging out of her pants... Im okay with the slightly younger look, but that half shirts gotta go....

The only thing I didn't like was the theme... but oh well, it only last what, 30 seconds? I can deal with it...

So if you're wanting to post a pic you made from a digital camera, first upload the pic to your computer. Then find a web host to upload it to from there.

The tag should go like this:

...only without the qoutes and no spaces, and that url above was just an example (don't click it!). The pic can be either a JPEG, GIF, or PNG.

Hmmm...do what I do. Copy and paste the pic into MSPaint, save it as "nameofpic >.JPEG<" remove the space and quotes and arrows. And click save. If you want an image provider, I'll give ya a link.

I thought it was cool how Baxter wasn't the sniveling whore to Shredder as he was in the original cartoon. Like most of you have said, very much like how he originally was in the Mirage comics...

I mean, when I was talking to Saki via video broadcast or whatever he totally talked backed to him and even put in an insult (I forget the exact quote, something on the means of why Saki could never be a scientist because he won't accept failure). Anyways, I think both episodes have rocked.

*ahem* I was totally worried that since the TV Guide(s) listed Nascar on during Turtles time that I would miss this episode. Then I thought, 'Maybe they'll be smart and put the new episode in the early spot.' Then I thought, 'This is Fox...' But they did! *squeal* Only missed a couple seconds, nothing important, and I figured out how to cut the commercials. *happy dance*

I thought this episode was hilarious. I loved all the superhero/comic references. I loved the sparring session with Splinter and the Turtles (Go Sensei!) Eh, I'll just cut to the chase, I loved everything. :D 'specially sad Raph in the old lair. *hugs sad Raph*

I enjoyed this episode a great deal. Some of the shots were taken almost directly out of Volume 1 Issue 2. I think it's very interesting how the story is unfolding itself. It seems that both Baxter Stockman and the Purple Dragons are aligned with the Foot. This is a departure from the Mirage incarnation of the TMNT. The Shredder in this cartoon sure has some power and connections.

I really love the serial aspect of this show. It sure beats a 30 minute problem/solution one shot. They can be so forced and repetive. Although mixing a one shot in here and there can add a little spice.

Finally has anyone seen the ratings for the new show? I know that Dan Berger claims that they aren't in yet, but I have a hard time believing that. Networks routinely get overnight ratings to judge the success of new shows. I fear this lack of news is an indication that perhaps the ratings were not terribly high, or lower than expected. Although I find that hard to believe because there is certainly a great deal of internet hype; and we all know that internet hype does translate into successful projects.

Heck there's a nice little indoor river with a bridge over it and Splinter's door is automatic. One more thing I liked was that this show doesn't show a weak and frail Splinter. He trains the Turtles and can easily kick their butts.

Yeah, it left me wanting more... I was very upset when the episode ended.
I was a little scared to watch it, after seeing what they did to MoTU, but changed my mind quickly... It's totally refreshing on a saturday morning to not see something like Pokemon.

Anyways, I also liked the way that Oroku Saki was shown, as himself not as Shredder. that was definetley cool ^^
