I know the TMNT pretty well, infact very well...just a few things though that I haven't been able to find out in books or online about the TMNT...

Why did they (Eastman/Laird) change the TMNT all red bandana look...to seperate colors? Was it just because they were being put on t.v....and it would have been easier for the children to figure out who was who?...

Is there anywhere that has an origin for the TMNT..than just the classic "we were sitting around and drew a ninja turtle"....I mean how did the names come to be what they were?...Or how did they go about choosing the weapons for each TMNT?... Does anyone ever wonder which turtle they thought of first...clearly they drew up the concept of the TMNT...but they must of had to thought up one turtle first...just like they then would of had to laid out the personality and name of each turtle thereafter...Why 4?... was it ever going to be just one turtle?... Who came first Shredder...or Splinter in there heads?...Why was April created and why was Casey created?...Who thought up the majority of the characters?...Is it more Lairds tmnt...or Eastman's? What was there favorite secondary character?....Finally why would they for the 3rd movie...skip out on using one of the already created enemies in the cartoon...and do some weird in the past storyline...they could of easily used Baxter...or even Shredder again...anywhoooo...I know a ton of questions...it's just that I have never been able to find the answer to these questions....Am I right to assume Eastman sold his rights for the TMNT to Laird?...

Well the story on official page explains most of it. About the colors, I guess it was for that kids could tell them apart more easily.

Err.. yesh, about the originas of how the creators thought this up, either look here or you can write an email letter to Peter Laird and ask him yourself.
