Adventure of turtle sitting

I just finished the episode "Adventure of turtle sitting", and i can't understand why the turtles stopped krangs plan to get rid of the other villains? Wouldn't there fight against the main villains just be easier with the other villains gone?

It has been such a long time since I've seen this one that i only vaguely remember the plot. It is on the season six dvd release so every one will have seen it by April I'm guessing.
