Hope this is the right area to post this.

Has anyone ever been to an event to meet costumed TMNT characters? Share your story here.

This is a pic of Raph & me, taken @ the Dallas Zoo on March 11, 2006.

I met Mike and Don at the Tacoma Mall in 2006 during the Radio Disney tour thing.

My dad met Leo and Raph in 1990 at the grand opening of a TRU in Vegas. He was in Vegas on TDY. Promised me their autographs but of course seemingly forgot.

I met Tenderheart Bear when I was a little stink. He scared me. I have a picture. I know it's not TMNT, but it's cute!
And I can't find it now...dang. I'll have to track it down and post it later. Tehe.

I met Pikachu in 1999. Spent 3 hours in line just to have my pic taken with Pikachu for what was supposed to be a 1 day thing in Tacoma. They had to extend it to 2 more days cuz so many people wanted to attend. This was at the B&I shopping centre and I got there an hour early (my mom thought I was nuts to get there early). Im glad I did. There was already at least 50 people when I got there. When I left the line was outside the building and a block long!

Mike used to come to my Dad's company picnic every year for about four years in a row. This was from about 89ish. He gave out gummy TMNT candy. And rode in a limo.

Good times. Don't think I ever got a pic though.

I met the TMNT in a fair around 1993, I was 3 years old and I was kinda scared of them. My older borther was 10 and he got their autographs and a picture if I remember.

I went to the Dallas City Arts thing yesterday, I think it was at a bad time though. No costumes, (I assume because it was 99 degrees out there) and because of the heat and horrible parking situation I had, I don't think I had as much fun as I could have. I scored buttons though! Oh and btw that TMNT Smash-Up game for the wii is pretty fun. I bet if I had come later that day I could have met a costumed TMNT. I enjoyed the mini-museum Party Wagon anyway.

True, it was hot. But Mikey was there. He came out @ 11:30 am/1:00 pm/3:00pm/5:00pm, for 40 minutes with the fans (plus taking a 10 minute recess to cool off).

As for me, I did ride the DART train to Pearl Station & they were 3 blocks away. Here are some pics.

thats cool the performer really played percussion.
Tell me though, I'm curious..you are so fascinated with the idea of tmnt playing music, especially percussion, why is this?

I'm a band geek, so i can understand whatever the reason :P i was a tuba player...:P

I like TMNT as a band. Thought I could improve their talents from Coming Out of Their Shells. Have them play rock & jazz.

The only percussionists in my TMNT band are Leo & Mikey. Leo likes the sound of the vibraphone, he learned to play it. He also jams with Ex-Cel Dude as well. Mikey's a natural drummer. So he also plays tympani because he likes the powerful sound! He & Ex-Cel battle on tympani as well.

You were a tuba player? Bet you like the fanart of Donatello playing the sousaphone! (LOL).

As you said guitar raph, I'll include my story lol... I went to the NYC gallabunga after being a diehard fan for like 16 of my 18 years on earth, I finally "met" Leonardo. As I approached the crowd he points at me and grabs mikeys attention waving his hand in front of his nose, basically mad at me for smoking a cigarette.. I understand that but it was a shock to see my idol judge me! Anyway he wouldnt let me take a pic with him for that reason. Then I got raph to come over but this mad hot girl called his name, he looks at me, then her and shrugs then runs to her. Hes all about the ladies apparently. Well anyway, heres a small amount of my pictures from the trip.. I have way too many to post, so heres a selection of the best.

Way back in like 1990 or so my brother took me to meet Raph and Mikey at some store appearance. Costumes looked kinda like those in the first few pics someone posted; they were "fuzzy" for some reason. They signed my novelized adaptation of the first movie. I think I was like 8 or almost 8. No pictures though.

No i never met costumed ninja turtles. Isnt there a way i can buy a tmnt costume like the next mutation?

Then when i got a costume for kicks go and do some skateboard tricks or something like that.

(Maybe pulling a stunt like that will make the next tony hawk game feature a ninja turtle as special charater.)

you can barely see the other eye, it is just a very unfortunate angle. It almost looks like the bandana was put on the head crooked.

Well the back part of the bandana is moved over to the left side of his head, if you twisted it back into position he'd look even worse lol

I met Raph at a Burger King when they were doing the Buy a kids meal get a video promotion back in 89 or 90, I can't remember which. The girl they had in the costume actually knew her TMNT trivia too, it was pretty cool.

Wish I could have met the Winx Club when they were being sent around by 4KidsTV... Someone posted pics of a Flora that was rather Yowza....

This picture always reminded of MOTU's Tri-Klops...

There's another picture of me and my sister, with the turtle looking more at the camera and it looks fine.. However, dunno where said picture is, my mum probably has it.

If I remember rightly, there used to be quite alot of Hero Turtle stuff over here with the bandanna knot places at the side of the head, rather than the back. I think so you can see the bandanna sticking out the side (well, I say alot, I can actually only think of one thing - a McDonalds or Burger King squirty head toy.) Perhaps this costume has the bandanna like that?

In my youth I saw all 4 turtles and April at an event at Universal Studios in Florida. I remember them rolling in with the Turtle van and lots of long, long lines. My parents are saints for getting me through for a picture and autograph with each turtle and april.

They did both. They were at Universal to promote the Coming Out of Their Shells Tour (that was hitting all the Universal Theatres), and they were a stage show at Disney MGM for awhile. Which is actually a historical thing for Disney, as they were the first non-disney characters to appear in a disney park.

I think once at Disneyland last time I went, which was perhaps over a decade ago, think I was too busy with my parents to actually approach them, only saw them from a distance. Probably the only memorable thing I got from Disneyland since I don't care much for it.

meeting a tmnt costumed character, i don't recall the year, but there was some kind of kids event at the local Civic Centre where different costumed heroes were there to entertain the kids. Batman was there as was Mikey. back in the back area i wanted to meet Batman, but by the time my Mom and i got to the area, he was gone, or something, but i was able to get a picture with Mikey. so there's me in a TMNT sweatshirt shakin' hands with Mikey. it was pretty sweet

Only if birthday parties count. This is a very distinct memory:

I was in a kid's backyard, couldn't have been older than three or four, and he'd hired a 'Ninja Turtle' for his birthday party. He made balloon-animal ninja weapons which, I'll be honest, were pretty damn sweet. Then he let us loose to play with them.

Now, what do Ninja Turtles do? They fight, right? They're ninjas after all.

And those were exactly the thoughts running through my mind as I sauntered up to the costumed performer, and kicked him in the shin. I was genuinely surprised that a) he didn't dodge it, and that b) he was angry.

"Hey, what's that all about?" he asked as he crouched down to look me in the eyes. "Kicking me in the shin like that?"

Well what did I care? I knew I was the baddest little Foot Soldier out in the backyard that day. After I finished crying sheepishly...

I've been looking at the 25th anniversary photos, and it looks like they're having the Aprils wear a different jumpsuit than the "Kill Bill" one at the Comic-Con. The other one looks a little more cartoon accurate, but looks way bigger on the person. :)
