View Full Version : Hey, how are the ratings of the Lost Season so far?

I know the series's rating are actually doing better in FF after the movie came out, but what about now? I mean, if the rating are consistent, then at least we can rest assure that the new (and even newer) series won't be watered down much, if at all. While I don't dig the plot of the Lost Season or the fights, it does capture intense excitement better than any of the previous seasons. So, do we have any ratings numbers on the LS

I wish I had cable and could boost them even more. But I will be buying the Region 1 DVD for sure- so at least I am helping my part with sales.

They don't count everyone who watches the show, you having cable would make no difference. Only certain households are counted and I believe those households know as I assume they select people who watch a lot of TV.

Wiki isn't the best source ever but this will give you a general idea.

I'm sure it's just doing so great because the lost season is the best tmnt thing ever to happen and it's just so much better than FF and even the old toon and gosh even 2k3 and it's just so dark and amazing I can't even believe it myself.
I was told it's the highest rated tv show on tv ever!:o

Well now, I wouldn't be that harsh. I mean, the LS isn't all it's cracked up to be, but it's still entertaining. Then there are elements so bad it's... bad. I'd still like to see how well it's faring in rating though.

even though ive seen it on youtube already, if i'm up and around the tv, i turn it on and just leave it on as back ground noise

heh it was just something I need to say ;)
I just find it funny how while FF was on the air and we the episode discussions about it we couldn't go one discussion that didn't just bash it simply for the fact that it was different than what we had before.
I love how those people where allowed to go off week after week about how much they hated it and for no reason most of the time other than the turtles could walk out in the day and they're happy for once.
But those of us who think the lost season is by far the lamest thing they've seen since god knows when aren't allowed to make a peep about it or they get the flamez.
And now that these same people have finally seen the lost season and most of them are like oh it really isn't that great and I'd of liked them to continue with FF one more season so I can get a Space Usagi episode. *face palms & shakes head*

It's called jumping on the bandwagon! Many people seem to be agreeing with you now though. Last laugh goes to... the season five haters

I'll still admit that I enjoyed season 5. IMO, it was a fun new direction that allowed the turtles to [almighty voice] SAVE THE WORLD [/almighty voice].

I don't hate it it's just not the "OMGZ MOST AMAZING THING" everyone kept saying it was.
I'm just not a big fan of it because it seems rather desperate to me.
There's really only 1 tmnt thing I hate and it's not any of the cartoons.

I think I am guilty. :ohwell: When I first saw season 5 (last year, wow has it really been that long?!) I was so excited. I was probably one of the people who was here talking about what I liked about it. But at least, I didn't flip flop my position. I still think season 5 is pretty cool

I definitely was all awed by it the first time I saw it, I didn't start picking at it until now that I have seen it a few times... I don't have a lot of complaints only that it's a little far removed from the turtles I like a little better...Actually being turtles and not having to use magic to win a battle...I don't turn it off when it's on though...I want it to do well so I hope those ratings are holding

meh...I still didn't care for FF and my friends didn't care for it eighther. I'm not saying it was steaming pile of monkey sh*t like some people make it out to be but I really like serious/mature turtle stories. There where some things about FF that I did like though, I liked Cody and I wish they had involved him more than they did. They basically introduced a new character to the show and then...well I got the impression that they where afraid to use him or something because he kept mostly to the back ground in some episodes. Like the writers where afraid he was going to take some of the turtles thunder or something. :ohwell: But yeah, over all I thought FF was to flashy.

I am enjoying the fifth season, although I think it can just as flashy as FF but...I don't know, it has that same flavor that I like from the previous seasons that I like. :)

God knows. At least it was only a few episodes. The show's doing well, so if they manage to keep it up with the next season, things might not be too bad. I for one never like to jump on something and call it bad unless I've seen more of it. Hopefully, they can get a good blend of FF and regular TMNT in the next season.

"Based on Kids 6-11, TMNT: Lost Episodes was the highest rated broadcast TV program.

Based on Boys 6-11, TMNT: Lost Episodes and Chaotic were the 2 highest rated broadcast TV programs.

Based on Boys 9-14, TMNT: Lost Episodes was the highest rated program"

These ratings are compared to other networks. These ratings do not include cable channels like Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network.

Spongebob is cool, my son really digs it.

However, I am still a Ninja Turtle person... Always have been, always will be. I didn't even grow up watching shows like Transformers or Thundercats.

Good to see TMNT being high up in the ratings, even compared to the CW's lineup.

I only hope this means that the new season can be a bit grittier again, seeing as the interest is aparently there. Seasons 1-5 felt more fulfilling, but that is not to say I didn't enjoy FF. I just hope this new season brings us back a bit, to how seasons 1-5 worked.

AquaParade

Exactly...this just shows that the higher rating that FF received were probably more due to the movie, as opposed to being from how they lightened up the show and all that. Lets see some real 2k3 turtles!

Which also means the kids watching FF also continued to watch the Lost season, so their interest in TMNT hasn't faded and should continue into Season 7.

With TMNT being one of 4kids top rated shows with Chaotic, I wouldn't be surprised if the show does continue to get renewed through all 5 years that 4kids owns the CW block for.

I am with Cyber...

There is no excuse why this show cannot last as long as shows like Simpsons, or Power Rangers.

I'd hate to see what could even replace something like TMNT if it were to ever be cancelled. There are only two main cartoons I watch, Transformers and TMNT. Well aside from anime. Had TMNT never existed again outside of the old show, I probably would've never searched out this site, known what foxbox/4kidstv ever was.

This show has the legs to last a very long time, especially with all the comics it can adapt, plus any originality the writers can muster.

If I remember correctly, and I could be wrong, but FF was doing fine before the movie even came out. I know the toyline sold really well, at least in my area. The toys sold out really fast where I live. The only place that had any left were Toysrus and they didn't put up the FF toys till the movie ones were supposed to be out like morons. It's great that kids are interested in TMNT again it certainly did die off a bit in 2006 and Fast Forward didn't improve things. 4kids bought out the CW block for 5 years. Season 7 is probably going to be airing on it in the Fall, so that takes up 1 full year.

After that, 4kids will own Saturday mornings for at least 4 more years, and if TMNT's ratings remain strong it could possibly be renewed for those 4 years as well.

I'm still holding out for the day the new show will have just as many episodes as the original. By my count, once Season 7 ends we'll have about 155 or so episodes of the new show. That would mean only a few more seasons to go for it to have a comparable episode count to the original series.

As for the situation pertaining to any downfall of saturday morning cartoons... Could the show not air on Cartoon Network like it used to?

You still completely fail to realize FF was planned to happen after Season 5 anyways. If season 4 didn't get such bad ratings FF wouldn't have happened ahead of schedule. It's obvious kids were not digging 2K3 and just because a bunch of people well over the age demographic they were trying to reach did not enjoy FF does not make it a success. It obliviously did well when they were airing an hour of it every weekend.

When looking at the numbers, bear in mind that TMNT is the only thing airing new episodes on there besides Dinosaur King (which goes into reruns next week) and Yu-Gi-Oh GX. Not that it changes it all that much as TMNT would be on top regardless, but the other shows are taking hits in the ratings because of reruns.

Anyway Chaotic was begun with a seven-year plan to begin with, so it will be running through all five years of 4Kids' CW block, and it's looking pretty certain that TMNT, which gets even higher ratings, will continue along with it. The new Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds series also starts in the fall so I'm guessing these three shows will form the base for the new block while the rest is filled out with some more minor shows.

There is no excuse why this show cannot last as long as shows like Simpsons, or Power Rangers.

I wouldn't go quite that far. This show is going to last a while yet, but there's no way it's going to last TWENTY YEARS.

Does anyone know how exactually Season four rated?
To my knowledge it hovered got around 0.8 to 1.1. It was in the bottom half ratings-wise, beating out One Piece and G.I. Joe but losing out to Winx Club, Sonic X, Bratz, etc.

8)Wow, how great is it that the tmnt have come back sine 2k3 and done this well, and have a chance to still be heading off into the future with high ratings and a ton more episodes. Never thought it was gonna do this good. I think people in general underestimate them sometimes, myself included. It will only be all the more sweeter when the show ends and we have a ton of dvd's...or blu ray's:lol: to watch over and over again.

That's pretty awesome that the ratings have stayed so strong. At this rate, the 2k3 Turtles should be able to outlive the original series' Turtles. And it's even better to know that TMNT is the cartoon to beat for broadcast morning cartoons.

Oh, and TLS >>>>>> FF.

No it didn't not one bit it's seriously the worst TMNT thing ever, kids hated it, the toys never sold, it never got an exclusive comic magazine in the UK and it never got the highest ratings on 4kids since the show started.
It's a pile of crap and nothing can ever beet the lost season in it's darkness factor it is the king of all TMNTdumb.
But seriously folks TMNT is TMNT no matter what shape or form it's in light, dark, brown or green they're the turtles, and instead of looking for reasons as to why one thing is better than the other how about being happy that there had been any new episodes and new stories at all.8)

I disagree with this, if fans are just going to accept what we are given just because it's ninja turtles than we are really saying that we have no standards. If some fans liked FF good for them, but other who don't have a reason to be peed off at the change that was made in the format. Because to us it was a step down from how the show was. And it's not the fact that Fast Foward wasn't "dark" or the story lines where crappy that pissed me and other fans off, it's the fact that the turtles characters where watered down and basically made into flashy, bratty, nock offs of them selves with all their nuances stripped. I didn't think Fast Foward plots and story telling was all that bad but the way the characters where simplified and "jazzed up" to appeal to younger kids just took any enjoyment or appeal Fast Foward might have had.

Sarcasm look it up Belly Jean.
I know your new around here but the reason I said what I did there was because 1. we've have people bashing FF logn enough now, it's over get over it, I never even talk about the show unless it's brought up.
2. Everyone acts like 2k3 and the lost season are just so omgz DARK and adult, I mean really?
No really they're not and yes they tried to fit their demographic lord forbid they do something right and get good raitings on a show for kids by a company named 4kids.

Looks like the whole channel is losing some steam...and TMNT is losing it's head over the others. Hopefully that will change when the new episodes come. I really advise 4kids to maybe change tmnt's time slot up a little bit though...competing with Spider-man isn't gonna be easy from here on out.

Yeah, you'd think since there's 2 Chaotic slots, they'd sacrifice one of those.

It also needs to be pointed out that in many markets, especially the big New York market, the LS goes head to head with the new Spider-Man show. Pretty good for a mid-season replacement going against the CW's new "franchise". (And thank god for DVRs;)...)
