LOL! I went out and got a tattoo when I turn 18 too! (Acutally, it was like eight months afterwards, but it's the thought that counts.) I got a yin-yang/ahnk cross on my ankle. I thought about a turtle but couldn't find a design I really liked. But I plan on getting one someday, as soon as I come up with something I really like.

[Vespera Blaze]

Happy Birthday Karpo!

[R-iZZy]

My goodness... I never thought people this old were at this forum. I never would've guessed, because the language is so mild at this board. It makes me wonder if I'm in the Land of Peter Pan. :tlol: Eh... it doesn't matter. All I can say about my age is that I'm proud to own a license... and at 16! Oops, did I give out my age? :trazz: Oh well. HAPPY B-DAY TO KARPO!!! And everyday's a birthday for the turtles, so let's celebrate!!! :tparty:

[NickMalf]

19, and definitely around for the first wave of Turtlemania. During the early 90's, I got a little burned out on the cartoon, but never stopped liking it. The new series has brought me back to the flock, and it's good to be back :)

[Donatello02]

Exactly :| :| :|

[NinjaDryCleaners]

I'm 21. Caught the turtles on VHS back in '88. Good times :)

[Vinny'sPizza]

I'm 18... 19 in August...

[One Radical Dude]

I am 21 years of age, dudes. I was about 5-6 when the original cartoon premiered, and I definitely stayed tuned for that. I started to turn away from TMNT during the last season or so. I may have tuned in for "Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation" (I think that's the title), but never really got into it. After that, I may have seen one of the three movies a few times, but never got into it again....until a week or so ago. I had heard about the new TMNT cartoon, so I went ahead and scoped it out. Totally awesome, in my book. I wanted to download old TMNT cartoons, and so I did. I am now back into the TMNT. I never scoped out the Mirage comics, though, I am aware that they are different from the toon. It's good to be a Turtles fan again. :)

[joshb]

I'm 18 years old and have been a TMNT fan since around the time the original cartoon started.

[Sumo Snorlax]

I'm 18 (my b-day is 27 November 1984) and I have memories watching the Turtles on TV when they came out in Finland around 1990.
They never showed any of the later seasons (I think season 4 was the last to air) and the Finnish reprint of the Archie comic may have cut out a lot of good stories (most of Blindsight, for example, wasn't seen), but I never lost my love for the world's most fearsome fighting team

[Karpo_007]

No, season 3 was the last one they showed In Finland. And We got TMHT  Luckily the VHS' were the TMNT versions.

[Raph's_Girl]

I'm 19 and I was 4 or 5 when the original series came out. A long time Turtle fan, I am. :tgrin:

[J Legault]

I'm 14, and I was a pre-schooler when the Original TMNT.

[warbird]

Hi,
I'm 23 - but somtimes I feel like being over 60 years old

[Skeletoncrew]

25. I'm ancient. But not as ancient as HorseTechie. :P

[Reznorite420]

I'm 14, and I was a pre-schooler when the Original TMNT.Correction: You weren't even born yet when TMNT truly premiered (and technically, neither was I for that matter :D )

[Machias Banshee]

heh, 19 and 2/3 years old, fan since the age of....3-4?

[Brodie]

I'm 16, I can't even remember how long I've watched TMNT.

[cqb101]

I a turned fifteen Feb.4! :D I have been a fan as long as I can remember but sold all of my old figures years ago in a yard sale because my parents thought I was too old for toys. I showed them! I got back into TMNT with the premiere of the new show.....It's good to be back!!!!

[Tinselcat]

I'm exactly two decades old. well, two decades and a few months. I first watched the tmnt cartoon when i was probably 5 or 6.

[Duke]

I'm eighteen and I can still remember getting my first action figure when i was four and a half. Thanks grandma.

[GordonUniverse]

Me? 22. I'll be 24 in 21 months!
I became aware of the turtles through the action figures breifly before the original show began. I tuned in for the premeire, and I'm still tuned in.

[Keno]

Im 20. I remember being seriously obsessed with the turtles at the height of turtle mania when I was around 9. I had EVERYTHING. honestly i cant remember when I stopped watching it or why. but yay im so happy its back!

[Apple Cat]

---delete this

[beaker]

Damn I feel old after reading these posts, LOL. I wonder what it would have been like to have had a online forum during the first huge TMNT medi ablitz year?(1989)

[cqb101]

It would be really cool to have a forum back then but even still I probably would have been too young to participate!

[Duke]

No, season 3 was the last one they showed In Finland. And We got TMHT  Luckily the VHS' were the TMNT versions.

Besides the theme song, was there any difference between Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles?

[Karpo_007]

Well biggest difrence is that every part where a word ninja is said is pretty much edited. Also Mikey seems to disappear from the fights before he switches chukus to grapling hook.

[Duke]

I watched one episode once. But Mikey was already using a grapling hook by then. I can't believe they would cut him out of fights when he used chukus. That is just retarded.

[Karpo_007]

Yes it is. But thats the way british cencors were back then...

[raphael90]

I'm 19 going on 20 in April... :)

[PhoenixFire]

I've been wondering about this for awhile, glad to see that I'm not the only twenty something on here! 21 for the record...

[Tinselcat]

yeah, it's funny, but a lot of people are those who found out about the turtles in the old cartoon and have persued that interest. there's also a lot (like myself) who re-discovered an interest in tmnt later on. cool, huh?

[Opticon143]

I'm 19...and like tinselcat, i lost interest in the tmnt (probably around the 4th or 5th season). I rediscovered them when i found an ep on kazaa and hunted down the rest (which led me to tmnt-files), and the rest is, as they say, history.
lol
