View Full Version : Taking Ideas For My Tatoo Background!

Hey gang,
So it is no secret that I have been working on my ninja turtle tattoo for the last few years (if you HAVE been living under a rock, or are new here, you can check out the progress here: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v247/JNCOPosterboy/tats/ ).

Now that I finally have both Kevin and Peter's signatures, I am finally ready to fill in the background. But...I'm not sure what I want that background to be. So please! If you have any worthwhile ideas please share them here :-)

Ha, I saw you get Peter Laird's sig at the con. I think maybe get the orange/green gradient with the shell background (on the 2k3 toy packaging) as a bg? I don't know how hard that would be to do though.

Mabey a massive collage of all the different TMNT characters (much smaller than you're turtles), and you could even throw in Waldo for fun.

If I was you and had them tattoo's I would have a city style background with buildings, maybe some bricks stacked together or street background. I would turn it into one big awesome looking sleeve. Or you could even add other TMNT enemies and allies mixed all together with the turtles.

I would definitely go for city rooftops, but I dunno how well that would work with your arm being vertical. Maybe a fire escape-type look?

Give them all their own unique panel, that you can connect with some kinda thick white lines and then have each panel maybe show a different background or something? I don't know. Just brainstorming.

How about an updated version of the Technodrome?

It is such a well-known and great HQ. Throw in Shredder's face behind it, like he is the sun setting behind the Technodrome.

That would be sweet.
