The guys are going on tour again! This time they'll be at the grand openings of many new Toys R Us stores in the U.S. This has been a while since they've done this. My dad met Leo and Raph at the grand opening of a Toys R Us in Vegas waaaaay back in 1990! The tour starts June 6th! And for those in Alaska...looks like they'll be heading your way!

Pleasant Hill is one of the locations I could go to. I actually have a friend (and fellow fan) who lives right there.

Since it's a grand opening, it's probably more characters than just Ninja Turtles. When I went to one of these back in the early 90s, there was a whole line of characters that you just shuffled past in a line. I'm sure you'd be able to do pictures and stuff.

Well it's probably just 2 of the turtles visiting those places like they did with the Radio Disney tour (where I met Don and Mike) 2 years ago.

Now if only there was a new Toys R Us opening in my area....Lakewood is in serious need of a toy store as there aren't any. Closest TRU is in Tacoma, which is like 35 min away at the Tacoma Mall (where I met Don and Mike) :P

A Toys R Us in the county just above mine either will be opening soon or opened rather recently.

The two in places I'm very familiar with have been there for ages. In fact, one of them has been there since I was in the 7th grade MANY years ago.

So it seems somewhat odd.

I saw em at the Tacoma Mall here in Washington State. It was only for members of the mall's kids club tho so I had to join that ($5 a year *lol*) just to meet em. Yeesh!

I was lucky that the TMNT did 2 stops in the area that year. I wasn't able to make it to the one in Seattle so I was MAJOR excited they were at a closer stop (even tho I detest malls...)

Im almost tempted to go to Jantzen Beach, OR in November. But I have no fraking clue where that is and none of the map sites do either! ô,0 "Yeah man...lets put a TRU in a place nobody can find on a map!!".....I guess it's a suburb of Portland or something...

You were?! Dang...we must have just missed each other. I was wearing one of my Raphael shirts (and baught a Wolverine shirt while there *lol*). I didn't stay long. Can't really handle big crowds. I just took a couple pics, got all the free stuff, and left.

While in line I talked to a couple young fans (I managed to find a bunch of Raph fans *lol*). The best part of the whole thing was the young fans. Especially when the turtles came out and all these adorable little girls (they had to have been 4 or 5) came rushing up to Don to hug him completly ignoring the Cabbage Patch Doll. :lol:

That Cabbage Patch Doll scared me a bit....freaky looking thing.

Yeah, my 'daughter' (long story) hugged Mikey... people were staring at her like "wtf" because she was like, late teens then. But she really likes Raph and Mike. I shook hands with Don and asked him about quantum physics... he just shrugged :p

By the way, neither of us signed up for their club thing... we ninja'd our way in :D

Mikey looks so cool, I would love to pal around with Mikey. Have Mikey play air tympani with my tympani mallets.

When I went to the Dallas Zoo, I asked Leo to play a little air vibes for me with my vibes mallets. Took the picture & it had to discard it because the picture turned out ugly, cutting off his hands.

One is in Allen & the other is @ Irving. Grand opening set for Halloween.

On TMNT-L, there was a girl from the Houston area who wanted to go see them @ Greenspoint Mall on their Radio Disney tour. But her older sister refused to drive her there just to see guys dressed up in Turtle costumes. Be thankful your parents aren't like her.

At least we won't expect Wayne Grayson to sport a Mikey outfit (LOL).

They did appear at the Bristol Galleries a couple of years ago when the 4Kids related toyline was still strong down these parts. It was some sort of cross promotion with Woolworths or something, which I almost attended but had a commitment clash.

We wont ever get anything like this again, at least not now since there's nothing to advertise.

Boy did I get TRICKED!

First, I rode the Dart (Dallas bus service) over there. Then I found out that the location is NO MORE, GONE, OUT OF BUSINESS!

Then I learned from word of mouth that it moved over to I-635 & MacArthur. way out north of Irving with NO bus service possible.

And my digital camera had low batteries. So looks like no pics of me & Mikey. I'm out $5 (bus fare) & got TRIPLE TRICKED, NO TREATS!

I can't find the original schedule on the mirage site. Anyone have any updated info? I live about 3 minutes from the Chino Hills store, where they're slated to be tomorrow. The store just opened last weekend and they've been having events all week, so I assume it's still a go.

A few days ago, I did find that new Toys R Us. It's located where I said it was before, near I-635 & MacArthur. I was wrong, there's bus service there after all.

So I asked them about the grand opening on Halloween & indeed they did have one. However, it was only Donatello to appear, no one else.

Looks like I owe apologies to everyone.
