My Very Own TMNT DVD!

Hey guys, I have a DVD burner and I'm making TMNT DVDs. Here is a pic of it, you'll have to go to this forum (brought to you by wheeljack). It's a work in progress, but its pretty cool. The theme song plays during the main menu. Here ya go, tell me what you think.

Well, you probably need a new DVD player. My old dvd player (which was one of the first models created) didn't play DVD-R's so I had to buy a new one. They work now and it's great, but you need a DVD player that plays DVD-R and RWs.

Which encodes are you using to make the DVD??

I'm not exactly sure whos they are, the file says Frosty so I'm assuming they are Frosty's encodes. I tried PWDESAI and Fenix's encode but it said the format was PAL, so I was unable to write that on to the dvd...

Sweet! Your using Darth's encodes right?(from what I hear they are really good) If TMNT keeps getting preempted Im gonna have to resort to dvd-rs!

LOL. OK, the DVD got done burning. The main menu worked out great. I go to watch the DVD, and the picture is upside down, lol. Why? I have no idea, I think it's funny...I'm gonna try and fix this problem.

OK, I'm gonna try this again, this time with a fresh disc. Last time I used a RW, and wrote over it, so that could have been the problem...lets hope it was.

IGNORE everything I've said above I'm an idiot. I bought the wrong kind of DVD discs (I bought DVD+R instead of DVD-R) SILLY ME.

Anyway, I'm attempting to burn these again. Hopefully the picture will not be upside-down.

How was the picture and sound quality with the DVD?

Just like the encode, only the picture was upside down lol. My new one is still burning, hopefully not upside down.

Saved up for a new HD and DVD Burner last year. All 192 episodes are on DVD in 66 or so discs. Best investment ever :).

66 discs? such a waste of money no offense but one dvd costs $2, I'd rather buy the official released ones.
Anyways, yes he was using FROSTY0001's wmv encodes of the new show, frosty is from #80s-cartoons.

Not a waste of money to me. I want to preserve my TV Taped episodes and VHS tapes for the memories. It would be nice to be able to watch these things 57 years down the road when DVD is long out of date, but oh still more stable than VHS.

Well I fixed the upside down problem, thinks are working great now. As soon as I get the TMNT encodes in different formats, I can begin making the DVDs!

If I were you, I'd have those short clips played before each episode as an "extra" feature... maybe? I dunno though, cause I plan on making VCDs... well actually XVCDs out of the new episodes that I tape. I don't have my video capture device yet (Datavideo DAC-100) so I can't capture directly from the broadcast... anyway it's too early for me on Saturday mornings. :P I am still debating whether or not I want to include those short clips played before the theme song starts as I will be pressed for space on a CD as compared to a DVD... every minute counts when it comes to getting good quality on an XVCD...

no offense....but I prefer to buy a professional DVD with the TMNT episodes. In this way, I am not breaking any copyright laws.
