Possible Merge Ahead

A friend of mine told me that starting May 24, 4KidsTV will merge with CW Kids, becoming CW4Kids.

Will our 4 reptiles get a new home?

If it's true, it would be KDAF-33 in Dallas/Fort Worth & KHCW-39 in Houston.

Long story short, the CW's 2 partners (Warners and CBS) felt that they shouldn't run their own kid's network, since it was apparently losing money (dispite being the highest rated Saturday morning block on network television almost every week). So they sold the block, and 4Kids was the company that stepped up and bought it (and there are hardly any other companies that could have bought it, by the way).

There is talk that TMNT Back to the Sewers will be on the Kid's WB channel, while 4Kids also has to finish out it's contract with fox. So, basically, they are going to run 2 networks... at least for a year. Then after that, 4kidstv is going to be gone.

So, they're basically going to be their own competition. I admit, this is going to be interresting.
