Autographed or not, I can't see it going that high. The same individual is selling autographed Captain Americas for only $10!

And why can't anybody on eBay seem to be able to spell Laird right?

EDIT: Looks like it started out for $11.99... man... those must be some hard-up fanboys and girls!

Something has to be fishy. Peter's autograph isn't that rare and there's absolutely nothing special about that comic book! Hmmmm.

yeah, the bidding list is private too, which makes me think the guy was bidding on his own stuff to drive the price up. Possible?

You know what I always say...Report for Shilling first, ask questions later!

You're probably right...shilling can be the only reason this has been driven up so high...

EDIT: Looks like it ended at $102. I think we got a bargain getting a full sketch and signature in our #29 for $10!

Even so, doesn't that still mean there's someone who actually bid $100?

Beyond anything else... just look at the spine in that picture? The book itself is busted and wrecked... "unread" should say "unloved"... guy probably found it in a dollar box at some con, and grabbed it to get Laird's sig slapped on it with dollar signs in his eyes...

I smell shill bidding to the max, here... why anyone would pay that much for garbage is beyond me.

It's going to be easier for sellers to get away with shill bidding now that e-bay has anonymous bidders, especially since I would think a member could get in possible trouble if they reported a seller for shill bidding and then the investigation proved otherwise. I COULD be wrong about that, but if I'm right, it would be a gamble to accuse a seller of shill bidding with the new system in place simply because the bidder IDs are now anonymous.
